  • she knows how to put u in that emotional spot ... fuck

  • Wow, I like Bjork sometimes but she really fucked this song up.

  • im loving this song...i dont know why...hmmmmmm?

  • thanks so much, I <3 this tune!

  • So simple...Bliss...

  • Bjork is the most original and eccentric artist EVER! She is mocked for her style but her voice is over and above anything that people can make fun of.

  • @voltaman33 Original doesn't mean good, just different.

  • I like Bjork's version so much better. The tune is so....I can't explain it.

  • @FemmeNevrotique Sureal.

  • Byork, unlike Lady Gaga whom you referenced, can't help but be different. She's just a "different" kind of person. And I mean that in the absolute best way. Joni, if you met her, you would find shes pretty eccentric herself'. Love 'em both!!

  • <3 love photos...so creative, so minimalist.... so magical... :D

  • The latest shit from Bjork is horrible, but here she shows she actually can sing and has a one powerful voice! Beautiful interpretation. Bjork, please, stop screaming and roaring pointlessly on your records and start writing lovely songs like you used to. We miss your good stuff. What the hell happend to you, girl? :D

  • @andrzejrobertendriu Check the album she did with Dirty Projectors.

  • @andrzejrobertendriu I think she's losing her voice or something...Volta sucked big time.

  • Volta was a big pile of garbage. :D When I first heard it I just couldn't believe how bad it was. Personally I blame Mathew Barney for changing Bjork into some avent-garde weirdo. Since she teamed up with him she's more concerned with looking weird than writing some decent tunes. :P

  • @andrzejrobertendriu "she's more concerned with looking weird than writing some decent tunes." Hmm kinda sounds like Lady Gaga. It's strange that you mentioned Mr. Barney, I used to have a extremely huge crush on Bjork when I first found about her, when I saw the videos for Possibly Maybe and Alarm Call, when I found out she was married, I really wanted to kill Matthew Barney, but then I saw her what she looks now....Okay Matthew, you can have her.

  • @dilcofilms I thought only gays and ugly women find Bjork atractive... :D Don't mean to be rude or funny or something. I do think she's kinde cute, but in the end I'm gay meselfe! :D

  • great bjork!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is what you hear when you go to Heaven.

  • @TearInTheirHands more like the torture in hell

    WOOWOO!!!!!

    but nah ur alright.........

  • i wil never forget bjork at birmingham symphony hall years ago -violently happy!

happy new year to everybody.peace and love xxx

  • Look sorry everyone I know you will be disappointed but when bjorks divorce comes through I'm afraid she will be marrying me. Once she finds out I exist.....

  • Hahahehehehe... dream away my luv... *_*

  • A brilliant artist covering a brilliant artist.

  • astonished...

i just did a quickie-wiki research on this song & album

never knew it existed, i'll be saving up to own it !

  • Yes, and it shows that Björk is a Joni Mitchell fan... her cover certainly does justice to the original song. She chose a song that's close to her musical world... those arrangements nearly make it one of her own. Brilliant.

  • It's a cover of a song by Joni Mitchell.

  • i wanna marrry Björk

  • this song is making me depressed as hell!!! I WANT TO MARRY BJORK!!! BUT SHES MARRIED TO BALDY!!!!

  • i dont get depressed by this song.

  • yeah but if you had a huge crush on Bjork you would be!

  • he's also boring as hell

  • thank you for saying that!!! BJORK IS FUN AND SHE DESERVES A FUN HUSBAND!!!

  • Such a beautiful song... I love it!

  • thank u 4 2day's inspiration*

  • "the triumph of a heart that gives all".

  • I've been watching Bjork interviews and I'm so in awe of her optimism and morals and sense of responsibility. She got so much shit in the early 90s with her popularity- media stereotypes, bomb threats from her own fans, and yet her reaction wasn't to turn inward or even to make bitter music (like some of Joni's beautiful later stuff), but smile sadly, keep that trust in love "maybe not from the sources you've been staring at", & shout at us to care for each other. Amazingly strong person.

  • micro affectations no nigro? so poetic

  • its negro

  • these photographs are gorgous. The song fits them well. Good job.

  • they are both such open minded people from small, charming, cold, closed minded places. they grew up very early, love problems and kids & hard work before they ever were famous, but they kept such a love for humanity, that when they went to the big city people misinterpreted their honesty as naive childlikeness. their music is always somehow rooted to what they grew up with but they're bored in one place, they have to bring reality, the huge clash of sounds and cultures in & make a new flag.

  • This is such a good cover! <3

    Love Bjork and Joni :D

  • Down in the cellar / In the boho zone /I went looking/For some Sweet inspiration/Justanother

    Hard-time band/With negro affectations/I was a hopeful in rooms/Like this/When I was / working cheap/It's an old romance/The boho dance/ It hasn't gone to sleep /But even on the scuffle/The cleaner's press/Was in my jeans/And any eye for detail/Caught a little lace/Along the seams

  • negro affections????

  • I don't know. I am not native English speaker. I got the lyrics from the internet.

  • it's not affections, 'negro affectations', a band that 'affects' (uses) the style of black music (bear in mind the original was written 1975). Joni Mitchell and Bjork are the best ever. Joni's lyrics give a series of impressions, poetic and real. Bjork must relate to the song from her time in punk bands. & you know, Bjork said she never knew soul music existed till she was 25, but both of them ended up sorta making Nordic R&B! Bjork grew up a fan of Joni Mitchell, shares the same fearlessness :)

  • can somebody type in the lyrics please?

  • This is such a beautiful rendition, brings a tear to my eye...

  • diddo on sking, this song is amazing and a great effing throwback to her (legendary) album VESPERTINE. i thank you for this

  • OMG, it is really beautiful !!!!

I don`t know about this song..

    Is it bjork original song??

  • No, Bjork contributed this cover to a Joni mitchell tribute record. The Orriginal was recorded in 1975 for teh album "Hissing of summer lawns"

  • oh my god so good

  • I love it! XD

  • Thank you for this post- I have loved this song for 30 years(more than half my life)- Bjork's version brings the care and thoughtfulness that the lyric/poem calls for- thanks also for the photos

  • I love this tune that she sings.

Thank you for seeing though it is making for YouTUbe trial purposes.

    Thank you for the comment.

  • this is so good, i listen to it every day.

  • I like this song... 4ever!!!

  • I like this song. What album is it on?

  • its on a joni mitchell tribute album its good innit?

  • Try the orginal Joni version...its on "Hissing of Summer Lawns."

  • chanson magnifique

  • thank you, the slide show is perfect visual accompaniment. very nice how there are no people photographed in it. very pensive.

  • Thank yooou!very much.
