I agree with augustinez87. You're right if u say KL Chinese mostly are cantonese. Most malaysian Chinese are hokkien.

Majority Chinese in Sarawak are hokkien, foochow, etc. Sabah: hakka, etc.

Just to clarify,

Even for Sabahans, most of us are not hakka.

Like in KL, where many people speak canto but are not cantonese, we speak hakka but we are not of hakka descent.

I think its a major misconception :)
