  • I do say Gohonzon. But I guess, due to the fact, that I had a crapy cam and mic at the time, it could not be heared.. (sorry about the spelling :)

  • I think you're heart is probably in the right place but your mind is wandering all over the place. Chanting scares you???? - Gastric bypass surgery?????

You don't say what you chant, and your description of the Gohonzon is almost completely wrong.

You need to chant more before you post - for clarity and wisdom.

  • @throbule Hi there!

I want to thank you for your response. I do not agree in what you write in you comment. There are many explanaitions to Gohonzon, and many dimensions to it. But, I will agree, that my thoughts can wonder. This video is more than a year old now, and I have grown in that time. I´m proud of who I am, and what I was..

We will probably never see eye to eye on this, but... again.. Thank you for your response..

    Best regards Dennis

  • @dennisfromdenmark:

Ok, perhaps I was a little harsh, but I hate to see bad representations of Buddhism.

I have practising for over 40 years and I know what I meant.

But we all need to continue learning, and I stand by my comments which I posted as a guide (for others who may see your video too).

Its up to you whether you accept them or not.

However, I wish you peace and much happiness.

  • @throbule Again, I thank you for yor comment. We do, as it is, not see eye to eye on the subject. But thanks for the time, and your wisdom :)

  • its pronounced gohonzoh not gohonza

  • @cajesukarije247 - Its actually prounced GOHONZON (because that is what it is).

  • Dennis - you are right. My mother taught me - it is better to chant for their happiness when you want someone out of your life. It works out much better. Try it.

I'm just going to say it - Sorry but ya need to quit smoking so you don't die of cancer.

  • That is.. "breaking and flattening [of erroneous beliefs]". We use this word in English speaking cultures and we know what it means, but really what we do is "Shoju", the other type of propagation. Shakbuku is the HARD approach and it is designed for those who already know about the Lotus Sutra, ie other Buddhist Sects. Shakubuku is what Nichiren Daishonin did. We use a SOFT approach (Shoju) typically in a culture that is ignorant of True Buddhism. There is a gosho about it, I forget name.

  • Good story about the head nurse-but I don't know if it was negative, was it? It likely was as she was probably angry. But I'm just saying, one could make that same goal in a positive way. However, typically it might be wiser to chant for the Head Nurse's happiness, eh?

Also, just an interesting tidbit for you: Shakubuku does not mean "apprentice". Yes, this is the implicit meaning we've come to use it as in America. However, in Japanese, it actually means "to break and flatten".

  • put a shirt on dude

  • it is my religion too:)

good to know that it is spread all across the world:)

I'm from Indonesia, by the way:)

  • It cut you off at the end!!! what did you say??? :)

  • Thanks buddy! :D
