@MrTwatmasterfleX I'm from cool part of Ohio N.E.. it changed then and sucks like COlumbus,, Akron and Cleve is Okayyy. I left that state, I can only take Ohio by doses,, few day stay at the most to visit. Great bands and artists came out of N.E. part of the state.. Warren 30 miles east of the Akron. Marlyn Manson from south of Akron in Canton.. Devo, Black Keys, Pretenders,, Akron..NIN from Cleve.. I hope I will be archived too.if I go national.
Love the Foo Fighters but Dave Grohl looks like a male version of Sarah Silverman when hes was in his younger years. Not so much anymore. I know Im prob gunna get crucified for that statement but whatever
Hey Just want take this opportunity to have a bit of an open forum. I love DG and the foos but even after they have put out heaps of albums I still think their 95 self titled is the best. Maybe i'm biased because I'm a bigger nirvana fan than foo but i wanted to ask everyone out there what they thought. New foo better than old or vicsa versa?
I would definetly say that they have evolved.......personally my favorite album in In your Honor, I'm just thankful that bands like them are around to appreciate.
@nirvjam121 personally i like their new stuff just as good because i feel like they are more mature and have evolved as musicians thats just me though...and i am a HUGE Foo fan btw but I like their new stuff better right now because its new and fresh haha
also noted he kinda looks like he could be Tom Petty's twin just different hair color...you know he does especially without the stache...he's still hot!
damn my speakers are all the way up but it still needs to be louder to enjoy the awesome of this song. damn you limited spekers! i need to see them live.
Some time after the album's release, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl confirmed that was song was indeed written about Love in an exclusive interview with Mojo magazine.
Check out some of my songs. I miss stuff like this old school Foo Fighters. Fuck Lady CACA, Rhianna, and all that pop shit. They can do what they want but I WANT TO BURN THEIR MUSIC.
@jtshape78 MTV was cool in the 80s, this video is from mid 1990s, was on MTV show called 120 minutes. MTV categories this band as alternative music that only can be played on 120 minutes show, such as Radiohead, Bjork, and Talking Heads. Only rap and pop, like Back Street Boys were on MTV in the 1990s. I watched Canadian music station called Much Music they played bands I like, that some MTV would never played. I was there to witness, now MTV changed again since then. again.
Hard to believe this was actually recorded 15 years ago in january 1995. man i feel old i remember this playing on the radio when i was in middle school. too bad this did'nt make their recent greatest hits CD. at least it's on the DVD included with the deluxe version of it. just an amazing song. good times...good times...

This comment has received too many negative votesshow
why do people talk about famous people more so dead famous people as if the know them by calling them by their first names and shit .... seems dumb to me , speaking for someone you dont know and expressings their opinon .. gay gay gay
this is my theme song that plays in my head when I walk down the street andit puts a little skip in my step. I love whole song but fav. part is 2:58 to the end of song :D
'Heavier Than Heaven' was written by a guy called Charles Cross, a gossip who romanticized every little detail about Cobain's life.
Him and Courtney Love are responsible for things like Kurt Cobain's diary being published; which in my opinion, is a shocking invasion of privacy - whether you're dead OR alive.
Anything that comes from 'Heavier Than Heaven' should be ignored by anyone with any common sense. Very few of the facts in it can be backed up by anyone else.
Yeah, you can make your own decision about him - but If you ask me, the guy's a total phoney.
He always comes out of the woodwork when he can smell a documentary about "Grunge" being made. You can tell by the way he speaks in interviews that he's in love with the story about how tragic Cobain was - and never seems to comment on the music.
Firstly, even if I was talking about Dave (Who I wasn't because I think he's a class act) - it would still be my own opinion and not yours. So for that alone, you can go get fucked.
Secondly, I wasn't talking about Dave - I was talking about Charles R. Cross; something you would have known If you'd actually read the comment you were swearing at.
Lastly, picking fights over the internet doesn't make you a tough person. Speak to me like that in real life and I'll fucking bury you.
So true, im glad im not the only one who hates charles cross. And in every interview about Kurt i've seen him in he always talks about kurt like hes a movie character rather than a real person.
Dave's gain, Courtney's loss, ours too. Glad to hear a final Nirvana song, for the record my favorite song on earth is Learn to Fly... Grateful am I!!!
hell yea man nicely said man i hate jonas brothers i have a lil brother thats eight and drums and hates jonas but he luves foo fighters and nirvana and i took him 2 a concert for the foo fighters la invasion and he was happy im glad he likes good music not disney music trash
bc2187--Are you serious???? The Foo Fighters aren't great??? I tend to heavily agree w/darthmoop. I respect Nirvana in that the band was instrumental in bringing Grunge into, and rock back into, the limelight, but the music is just kinda....meh. Foo Fighters music just grabs ahold of my senses and runs with them. Nirvana, however, could never even get 'em off the ground. But that's just me tho. To each his/her own....
Have to disagree with you there, Alicia. I'm not a huge fan of either group, but Nirvana was definitely a way better band than Foo Fighters. Kurt's lyrics were just on a way deeper level than Dave's. No disrespect to Dave, but Smells Like Teen Spirit was a song that pretty much defined a generation and launched a movement. Nevermind is an all-time classic album, and the Foo, while great in their own right, will never be able to match that.
We will just have to agree to disagree. I can't stand Nirvana's music, but I had already previously acknowledged that they were largely responsible for the Grunge Era. Which is cool. You're view that Nirvana is, quote, "way better" than Nirvana is merely YOUR opinion, and, again as I previously stated, to each his own. And Dave has, in fact, "stuck around", and Kurt, sadly, just could not hack it. His tragic depression shone through in his music, which was poignant. No singing voice to speakof
I dont care how much the Foo Fighters music changes it will always be great cause Dave Grohl is a great artist. Comparing bands is a waste of time and energy.Everyone has their own opinion of what they like. Nirvana was great but I think Foo could be one of the greatest if Dave stays true to his feeling for music.
a bunch of bitches have posted comments on this link....Never, ever compare Foo Fighters or Nirvana to the Jonas Brothers!!! I've done some heroin in my lifetime (Im 21 yrs old)...The Jonas bros could never see my point of view, nor Kurt Cobains for that matter! This song is clearly about Cobain and it's intense because of it...The Foo Fighters aren't great, but they sure are good. No need to knock talent, assholes
this song isnt about kurt, trust me im a HUGE ASS foo fan, every song that comes out people start saying is about kurt, its not, dave has said its not, and they are great, theyre amazing..
u're right, its not about kurt, it is however, about courtney love(in result of the hardships her and kurt went thru and dave being brought in the middle time after time) fact
curto pra caralho essa musica, ela ainda soa bem Grunge, ela poderia até ter saido na discografia do Nirvana, se Kurt tivesse deixado é claro , i love Foo, please come back yet!!!
I used to love the Foo Fighters until they started to support idiots like John Kerry and other liberal politics. They've backed off a bit, which is good. At least they're not as Liberal as Bruce Springsteen.
yea, gimme thumbs down cuz you wanna deny the turth,Nirvanas awesome but smells like teen spirit is overrated, not better than anything the foo fighters did
I have been listening to this song since it first came out when I was in college, and I have to say, it NEVER get's old. This song is a perfectly crafted, catchy song. It is perfect. Dave Grohl's simple, pop song writing skills really came across on this beast.
"I'll stick around, I'll stick around and learn from all that came from it..."

No need to knock talent, assholes

u're right, its not about kurt, it is however, about courtney love(in result of the hardships her and kurt went thru and dave being brought in the middle time after time) fact

People can support whoever the fuck they want to support. Free country.
Nirvana isn't nearly overrated anymore, I hate that played out line. The Jonas Brothers has clearly taken it's place, keep up with the times.

I used to love the Foo Fighters until they started to support idiots like John Kerry and other liberal politics. They've backed off a bit, which is good. At least they're not as Liberal as Bruce Springsteen.

I have been listening to this song since it first came out when I was in college, and I have to say, it NEVER get's old. This song is a perfectly crafted, catchy song. It is perfect. Dave Grohl's simple, pop song writing skills really came across on this beast.
