windows task manager used to show my laptop as havign 4 cores when i bought it... but after around 6 months of use for some reason without any warning it only shows 2 cores now... i have the intel i3 330m @ 2.13 ghz mobile

So if you have a motherboard with intergrated graphics aswell as the graphics on the i5, will it increase the graphics in any way?

@66Anta99 No. the intergrated gpu chip kicks in during lower power state to preserve energy then the graphics card isn't being used.

@rangsar turboboost overclocks one core when the rest aren't being used when only a single threaded app is being used. Speed Step reduces the core speed when your pc isn't doing anything powerful.
