  • Oh em gee!!! My poor horse I didn't know this had happened to him before I got him...... Poor guy!!! Imma go spoil him now

  • The old man kept putting the blade in his mouth.

  • You're fucking sick man, you should be ashamed of yourself. Now go and stick that cock up your asshole, but before that make sure you're sedated.

  • @NamlessPurity: ok dude just wait a minute! Do you have a problem with her thinking gelding is funny?? Well guess what I think your funny for thinking that! Lol you angry cuz you think she is insulting you because your male! We might have to "geld" you to decrease your anger! Lol

  • Not gonna call a vet? No? Ok

  • and women complain about childbirth

  • wtf did i just watch, how did i even get here

did you just cut that horsey's pecker off?

  • @Kim621100 shut the fuck up you sexist, idiotic, bitch. It's not funny, it's immoral and wrong. Fucking rethink the entire situation. You know what symbolizes "male power"? Our strength. Our survival intuition, which has been practiced for thousands of years. If women had balls it wouldn't make a god-dammed difference. Fucking bitch.

  • @NamelessPurity I like your style your right she is a sexist bitch I bet shes just pissed cause she can't find a man to put a dick to her

  • That guys got some balls to be cutting them. Hahaha...damn.

  • Why is there a stupid bitch present during the procedure that proudly claims that the sound of an animal's reproductive organs being destroyed makes her smile?

  • @deluge17895 Because she's a stupid bitch who thinks cutting off balls is hilarious. We should cut off her vaginal lips, she how that feels.

  • @deluge17895 As a teen I used to work in a all womens vet hospital. We all used to smile after the vet tec or vet snipped of the testicles. The testicles are a sybol of male power. That is why we all smile and laugh after the snip.

  • im sorry but i don't understand why horse need to be gelded? im sorry that i lacked with such animal knowledge..

please anyone answer my question :) thank you

  • @TheRavensArk most stallions are difficult or sometimes even dangerous to work with. it cuts down on the hormones they produce and makes them safer and easier to train and ride. basically its just like getting a dog neutered, before you do theyre edgy and sometimes mean, afterward they tend to be more laid back. thats how it usually is, tho ive been around some stallions that were much better behaved that some geldings.

  • I have a new vid up and it has my cats in it, sept 4 one of them, Shadow she is a Mainecoon cat and we got her In Maine 6 yes ago.

  • How is Kitty Korners going??

  • @BreyerLuver1 Kitty Korners is doing great. Thanks for asking. I meet the nicest people and the nicest kitties and I'm having a lot of fun

  • @ladicius69 ur soo lucky 2 have ur own horse i g to a barn and lease cause the economy is just to bad now.

  • Why do you geld horses? and can it be done on a female?

  • I don't mean to sound like a flower wearing peace sign waving hippie but this is pretty damn inhumane.. I know it's necessary, but humanity has gone too far.

I feel so damn sorry for the poor ex-stallion, it would be like a prison chopping someones balls off to avoid them re-offending or hurting anyone during his incarceration, yeah it would work out and all will be peaceful. But still.

  • *plays Taps*

  • Who else was squeezing their fist the whole time

  • the balls.......theyre GONE O.O

  • they day i lost a manhood...

  • i can't believe he did that castration and did nothing to sterilize the area.... I know there's only so much you can do in the field (I worked for an equine vet, and helped with many castrations) but it seems strange that not one thing was done to clean the area.... not even alcohol...... shady vet work in my opinion....

  • @terilynn8284 In field surgery of almost any kind, there is very little to no pre sterilization of the field before a procedure is performed. There is however post cleanup of the surgical area plus sometimes a cauterization treatment applied as well as a gel or powder which "seals off" the wound from flies. The bacteria carried by the barnyard variety of flies has the greatest chance of causing post operative infections. Cavalier as it may sound, these animals can withstand a lot and survive.

  • Wow, this only took like 6 minutes and there is very little bleeding...considering what is being done... GREAT Vid. I always wondered how they did it. How do you geld a horse with and undescended testicle? We have a "gelding" with one and he still looks and acts like he's never had the procedure.

  • @PurpleTubas It really is a very easy and quick procedure. My little alpaca was gelded recently and we had to wait till he was a year old before his testicle descended. I think that it can be done when it hasn't dropped on it's own -probably a more difficult surgery as opposed to pull and snip..Your vet will know what to do. Unless you are planning on breeding - gelding is def.the healthier, happier alternative - and with stallions no chance of getting those unpredictable testosterone surges...

  • @PurpleTubas I have the same with my pony.

  • @PurpleTubas thats how my 2000 quarter horse is. He is proud cut. And still acts like a stud at times.

  • what do you mean u have puppies in the freezer?

  • @mizjorgieo07 LOL....My miniature horses' name is Puppy and when I had him gelded him at the age of 7 I put his balls in the freezer. That way no-one could tease him and say he had no balls - he could just say well, I do but they're in the freezer...

Actually someone told me that they would be a strong totem to a first nations elder - but I never found one who wanted them....

  • lol so glad you explained that!

  • WHY?! WHY?! WHY WOULD DO SUCH A THING!!!?

    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW MY BALLS!!!!!!!!

  • @vtc31 have you ever been around a stallion?! they are VERY unpredictable not to mention their aren't enough homes for all the foals we have already. Gelding makes for safer horses that are able to be placed into homes.

  • omg while watching this I couldnt stop screaming, FUCK, FUCK, FUCK. I damn near bruised my balls by just watching this..

  • I don't think I could do it without rubber gloves... I was also kind of instinctively covering my crotch when I was watching it. I don't blame him for still cringing every time he hears that crunch.

  • i couldnt watch most of it

  • I bet most men cringed during this.

  • @fuzzlefluff The Vet who did the procedure said even though he's been doing them for over 20 years - he still cringes every time , especially when he hears that crunch...LOL

  • @ladicius69

    Great. :O

  • Sights of surgery don't bother me, but the sounds are kinda weird.

  • I adopted an orphaned colt this year and this fall he is going to get gelded so this was nice to get to see what is going to happen, poor guys hahaha

  • That horse is thinking, "Look at meeee !! What's missing from this picture !! What am I gonna tell my friends" !

  • When i saw a girl ripping off a deer ball sack with her mouth... nothing surprises me

  • someone oughta slap the bitch that said 'we smile' when referring to castration. thats a fucking sick thing to say.

  • wat does the twitch they put on the horses mouth for?, does it hurt them? pretty pretty horse btw

  • @animalrights800

As far as I know the twitch is used on the horses upper lip. When applied it releases endorphins which are a natural painkiller and relaxant in the body so the animal is less likely to be upset before any procedure.

  • @animalrights800 it twists there upper lip and prettyy much just keeps them calm

  • @animalrights800 The twitch is supposed to actually relax the horse. Apparently it releases endorphins when you do it...

  • Horses, because your car isnt good enough.

  • poor bastard, no more fucking for you china

  • Did you say you had pups in the freezer???

  • Im sure you have a wonderful vet where you live! My large animal vet is so understanding and gets a good relationship with the owners

  • I want to be a vet, so that was very interesting for me to watch. But kind of terrifying. The crunch!

  • @horsebookworm The crunch really was loud and the vet said that even though he's been doing this for years and years - it still gets him everytime...LOL

Good luck in your vetly pursuits - it's an awesome job for sure.

  • Poor guy, didn't even know what he had before it was gone. (Laughs evilly)

  • I've always been curious as to how exactly this was done - thanks for posting! Now I know :)

  • holy shit, i gatta see this for real in a couple days!!!! im gonna puke!

  • It really isn't that bad - but I guess that maybe guys will have a little bit more of an understanding point of view...LOL

I think it's cool to see vets do their work. Hope you get through it.

  • DUDE! He keeps putting the scapel blade IN HIS MOUTH! Large animal vets are so gross...Just say no to medical equipment in the mouth!

  • lol

  • I'm telling you--large animal vets are notorious for holding stuff in their mouths...some small animal vets do it too, but not as much. I mean, you know where that stuff has been.

  • Naaah he's still a stallion, all male! He just can't reproduce that's all. :)

  • wow that was interesting to watch, i feel so sorry for them when they loose their manly hood but its for the best i guess....

  • It actually makes them MUCH more calmer, and easier to handle. Stallions have their benefits though, with their firey spirit.

  • Does it safe to anathesize a horse without a rebreathing device?

  • @mido851114 yes its just like a sleeping pill he just cant move but hes awake.. its a horse tranq

  • What is the fluid at 4:25 ?

  • why d was he completly sadeted my horse was only partly sedated HE COULD NOT FEEL ANY PAIN he was in his own little world and he was running with his other palls a few hours later

  • I'm not sure as to his level of sedation but he was up and running with his pals a couple of hours later as well. I know that he had to be laying down for the procedure to make it easier on the vet. WE did the same thing to my alpaca the week after and he also was up and running around within hours.

  • Why do they have to be castrated, I wonder?

  • Generally speaking it's done for health and temperament. Stallions (a male horse that hasn't been gelded) can be somewhat unpredictable not too mention that they will get all of the female horses pregnant on a regular basis..LOL

This horse was up and running around like nothing had happened about an hour or so later - and fast forward 6 months to today and he is just an absolute sweetheart.

  • Ah, thanks =3 Just wanted to know that. Still feel kinda bad for him though. Poor thing, getting his manhood snipped away *giggle*

  • I had to geld my 29" miniature horse as well and I felt so bad for taking his manhood that I kept them (and still have them) in the freezer...LOL

  • That is..... interesting xD

  • you've obviously never ridden a horny stallion

  • Actually, I've ridden a stallion once. He was simply very well trained, and wouldn't be let near any mares who are in heat ;) Castrating isn't completely necessary if you've got the time to train the horse properly.

  • it is a very situational thing and depending on the temperament of the horse i agree its not always necessary

  • I agree that castrating isn't always necessary. My farrier has a couple of very well behaved stallions. I guess it's a matter of choice and the purpose/life of the horse. There is some thought that castrating reduces the occurence of certain diseases. I know that our local SPCA's spay/neuter all cats and dogs and they seem to fare pretty well.

  • Yeah, I agree on that. Several breeds of cats and dogs fare better once they've been castrated, also because they're more freeroaming than, say, horses, and thus far better capable of getting laid ;) They're less likely to run away, as well, once neutered, which also causes less roadkills >:

But I'm not very fond of geldings, to be honest. They're so, how to say it... childish. =B Their bodies grow but their mind doesn't, so to say. I'd much rather have a true stallion than a gelding.

  • true. its normal for them to have balls so leave them lol. but it makes a lil sence why they do it.

  • Seriously, had to unsaddle and groom a gelding last week, god did I dislike the animal. He was still behaving like a colt and simply -impossible-.

Castrating cats I can agree on, since irresponsible owners leaving them intact causes that HUGE amount of strays in our country (NL), but with horses? Nah, not necessary. Just train them properly!

  • @CandyCrayon91 my horse died because of a stallion being on the yard. Mares get extremely bitchy if they can sense a stallion. If he was castrated, it wouldnt of happened. Its not a matter of 'training' them properly, they will always have the stallion instinct and cannot be trained out of it.

  • iv always wondered how this was done b/c i'v sent a few horses myself to have this procedure done. I looks fairly simple

  • i love it
