did u forget about louiville 2005-2006 season when they beat the carp out of wake forest in the orange bowl. Plus the bearcats just went to the orange in 2008-09 season and lost to VT. the big east (caps not needed) sucks. Most teams (UConn, Pitt, Syracuse, Louisville in 07) probably can't hack it against WAC and MWC teams (Boise, Hawaii, Fresno, BYU, TCU). Granted there were some exciting games in 2006, but Louisville lost to Utah, Pitt lost to Navy tonight. I would argue that the conference without Miami, BC, and Notre Dame SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED A BCS CONFERENCE). Either that or give the MWC and WAC similar standing.

Current big east teams with a national championship. Syracuse got them one in 1959. Pitts has 6, the lastest of which was 1976. This is a conference that is on the rise for sure, but without a national title in 30 years is hardly a "top" conference.
