I heard there are 2 very secret items that you get only when losing lives. Of course,i"m a very experienced gamer and i rarely die in Mario games so I never take the time to die since i'm told the point of the game is to not die. What are the items anyway? Anyone PM me please for the answer?

they should make super mario 3D world next, bigger levels.. and make the game harder, the special stages are decent difficulty but i think the sonic rush games have been quite a bit more challenging than any recent mario game.. especially the bosses.

@Briancamp909 Baffling, isn't it? New Mario games always get new songs, new gameplay, new graphics, and somehow it always feels like Mario. There's never any 'out with the old' - they keep our favorite stuff and carry it over to the new games.

Sonic, on the other hand (and most of our favorites) started as something awesome and then... got replaced with something else.

A bunch of newcomers might call anything with PS2 "classic" ; while others at least show at a NES ; while even others go back to Atari and what not.

I for myself consider SNES "classic" and it had a crap ton on pretty awesome games that i recommend, however, theirs really a giant amount of really good games anyone "should" have played, and i get shocked by a bunch fo TOP 1000 lists by real gems i have never seen.

In my opinion, this game is awesome until you complete it. I fully completed the normal worlds, but some of the special worlds are just angering. Take the world four Airship for instance, I mean God! I never made it past world seven, and I'm not saying this game is terrible by any means, it's great, but it gets repetitive. I've honestly thrown my 3DS a few times. XD

But, all in all, it's not the best Mario game. It doesn't stand up to the Galaxy games on Wii, but you need it if you have a 3DS.

@pwnallnoobs69 If you die enough times in the same stage (at least in the early stages; I don't think it happens in the special ones), you'll get a special item to help you out. I'm pretty sure that's where the white tanooki suit comes from.

The most fun I've had with a Mario platformer since Super Mario 64!

I hope they add some DLC with things in the way of some classic Super Mario music and maybe an assortment of levels from some classic Mario games with 3D Land's gfx.

Great game from start to finish!

Also you can already play classic Mario Bros. on the 3DS as long as you are a Nintendo Ambassador since its included in the free Super Mario World 2 GBA! While not 3D, it does have nice gfx enhancements.

World 7-1 is possible to beat in less than 10 seconds. You can actually make the jump from the beginning to the end of the level as Tanooki Mario.

@PuntThePikachu I bought it in Dec 20. I finished the main worlds in three days, it took me a couple more days to get all medals, but I'm not the kind to play a game 6 straight hours.

The special stages are a fucking nightmare; I'm not even past the 4th world, I barely have 1 medal from each stage and the castles and airships are stupidly hard.
