  • Il y a très amusant :) j'aime becoup

  • C'est toute mon enfance. J'aime J'aime J'aime J'aime ♥

  • listening to this song in every language!

    this is the most sexy.

    Russian is the most manly.

  • Patrick Fiori <3

He will always be Phoebus to me :D

  • Shang is even sexier in French. :D

  • I love English person speaking French ( I'm from Quebec)

  • haha, I like french version its very very funny ! x)

  • J'adore Mulan!

(I'm sorry if that's bad french, I'm only a year one)

J´aime Partick Fiori trop... hehehe

  • thumbs up if your translating all these peoples french comments or

  • did it say: "im the only sexist"? xD wahahaah

  • And I assume you haven't got the level of your teacher. I also assume"compassionnant" stands for "compatissant", "quelle dommage" => "quel dommage", "trop forte avec ma critique" => "ma critique était trop forte", "comme ils disent" => "comme on dit", "te fait fâchée" => "te fâchent", "c'est car je disais" => "c'est parce que je disais. Besides, what's the point with the "si mes six mots" ? I can't see any meaning there. And I'm from France.

  • i'm listening to this right now on behalf of my french lover

    mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm :))))))

  • thank you, french lessons. (:

honestly, this is one of the best versions.

This is genius, to translate the song with sheer poetry.

"_" marks the point of a "liaison", a z-sound which doesn't occur with each word alone but must be used when a word ending in a vowel-sound meets a word beginning with a vowel-sound. French doesn't like putting two open vowel-sounds together.

  • hört sich stark an^^

  • theres more to the song... y cut it?

  • @lovingkimmy99 If you're referring to the background noise, I'm guessing that this track was taken from an actual soundtrack album and synced with video footage, as opposed to being taken from the movie itself. In which case, all that stuff would have already been removed. I know that on my English version of this, there's no background noise present.

  • i like the french version too! =D

  • wow everything is just a level sexier in francais ;)

  • I think if I could travel back in time, and somehow turn it all into a musical my life would be perfect :)

  • Very very interesting animation.. This minutes went by so swiftly!! I really thoroughly enjoyed the animation. It is nice to go back sometimes and see what has been going on in this world in the past!!!! Well done!!!!!!!! View this for free, on freecartoons!!

  • lol'ed when the 3 stooges sang

  • the french one is pure laziness

  • @Akumatrunigga I don't really like THIS french version but there is a more energic version here ;-)

    /watch?v=-E7ALchSF4M

  • @clemleloup More energic? If you actually meant that (and not energetic which is similar but not the same) then I commend you for you good vocabulary.

  • @plukerpluck I'm not English so maybe I have made a mistack ^^". I learn at school but I'm not very good in english so I have do my best.

  • lol they don't grunt at 0:25

  • You can't take the anger seriously :) Too many hacking-throat noises

  • If you translate the lyrics they're way more awesome then the English version! He says they are more fragile than little girls and the chorus is "As a man. Be more violent than the court of the torrent. As a man. Be more powerful than hurricanes, etc.

  • Oh, i recognize that voice!!!It's the guy who sang Phoebus in Notre Dame de Paris Musical=)))

  • @nowiamthere Yep :D It's Patrick Fiori <3

  • french version is sexy .. Thank you patrick fiori ^^ <3

  • @MsDungeonX

    have you tried danish? :P

  • I heard this song in a lot of different languages and I think the French version is the best, mostly because this singer has a great voice.

  • badass :D

  • Finish it on freecartoons. It is free, high quality and easy to find out. For me, this animation is refreshingly funny and surprisingly sweet. It is not predictable and typical, so be free to let it to take you to this little strange, but interesting new world. I enjoyed it, every minute!! I really recommend this!

  • italian version wins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • pause at 1:07 haha!

  • J'adore

  • AH SHANG. Ooh lalala.

  • @xUrusai Haha it's funny because oh la la in french actually means oh no but american culture has somehow been convinced that it means something seductive hhahaha. Just thought you should know the proper meaning, but I was thinking this the whole time haha!

  • @curlyhair72400 i don't know if you speak french but i am french and "Oh lala" doesn't mean oh no in every cases. i think it has different meanings depending on the situation

. in my opinion the sexy or romantic meaning behind it is not incorrect if that's what you want it to sound like...

  • @kittennini I'm currently in the process of becoming fluent in french but no I'm american. I learned this from a french speaking friend who is very close to my mother and was born in Belgium. I never thought it had multiple meanings traditionally, but Americans took it and made to seem like that was the correct translation and now people associate oh lala with that sexy meaning. Am I wrong? I'm always open to learning about French :). J'adore français !

  • @curlyhair72400 J'adore LE français ! ;)

  • @curlyhair72400 Oh là là is not sexy at all, it's very much used in very different contexts. It's the most common onomatopea in French-speaking countries. It's just OMG, Gosh, Jeez etc.

  • @AuxaneD YOU NO LIKE FREENCH ?

  • @rootsreggaerocks974 it's you who's ugly

  • I learn French and it's my 1. fave language aftre mine!

  • It's pretty fun to look up Disney songs in different languages. :) I think I like French the best so far.

  • @MsDungeonX I can agree with the first part at least. It seems that cartoon songs sound best where they're based. Like this sounds great in Mandarin, "In the Dark of the Night" sounds great in Russian, "Hellfire" is good in French, and so on. But no matter what, a good song is a good song in any language!

  • @TehRantare Honestly, I hate when you guys say that. It's a freaking adaption. It's off putting to watch this movie in Chinese, why? Because it's the AMERICAN story. If you want authenticity, read the story of Hua Mulan.

  • @MsDungeonX Try the Cantonese version if you haven't already. It's my personal favourite so far for this song.

  • francaise is so belle! Je ne sais pas francaise! I am taking French 1 and I love it. Je suis americaine!

  • @charmedone1paige I agree with you totally. I took French and did it for CSEC exams and I did exceptionally well. I'm 16 and have been browsing French videos for this week. I kind of renewed my love for the language

  • @charmedone1paige Wow, that was terrible. Keep practicing.

  • @alextoob1 well sorry I was only in French 1. Don't have to be so mean. Who put a stick up your a**?

  • @charmedone1paige U mad?

  • @alextoob1 well you could have just said nice try but u need mor practice instead of saying quote "That was terrible" unquote

  • @charmedone1paige Ohhhh, so you wanted it sugar coated...

  • @alextoob1 What the f*ck are you trying to say ? Did you see how your first french sentence looks like ? You can't say anybody their French is poor if you don't even master French properly !

  • @Zwergf Not sure how you could be confused by that, the meaning is right there. Ironic that now you're criticizing me, using broken English.

  • @alextoob1 You're bitching about her French while I've had the confirmation yours isn't better. That's the point. I don't teach you how to speak English and I won't comment on your own English because it's not my native language. That's something I can do in my native language, that's why I told you shouldn't boast about your French like you did. "compassionnant" ? "ni dorloter" ? "la réponse étant que" ? "comme ils disent" ? "te fait fâchée" ? All that isn't French.

  • @Zwergf You might want to speak with my college level French teacher then, maybe tell him that Zwergf from Youtube doesn't approve! He'll probably be sooo embarrassed. He might even quit his profession! (That's sarcasm, in case it doesn't translate). Not sure where you're from, but those adjectives are fine and verbs are conjugated correctly as far as I can tell so I'm assuming you speak a different dialect.

  • @charmedone1paige Take courage and don't listen such comments. Everybody has to keep practicing to master a language, and the most crucial thing is motivation, if you're motivated, nothing will ever be an obstacle.

  • @charmedone1paige Je suis americain aussi! J'ai francais deux. J'adore parler francais!

  • I can pick up bit of it, but because I'm not fluent it's fun to watch it in french.... you can really focus on the quality of singning XD

  • Sexy :3

  • tõll_sùcht_mal_nÀch:_geldeasy_åÚf_gôÓglÊ

  • I love this language so much!!!!!!!!11

this version sounds very good =)

    peace from Israel ! <3

  • The French voices make this sound romantic no matter how manly it is. XD

  • tres bien..

  • where's the sound of them? xD

  • Donny Osmond is obviously the best as Shang, but OMG, I'm obsessed with Patrick Fiori after his role in Notre Dame de Paris... I can't believe he's the French singing voice!! Perfection! =]

  • Heh I'm using these to help me learn french. XD

  • @FenrirPwnsKal lol me too since i have a test tomorrow x))

  • i still like it in english - but french sounds cool

  • wow...... this is fun hearin this song in diffrent languages Mandarin now freanch next spanish or korean. im bored ryt nw urggg collage is soo long. but i'll always love Mulan. Shang's voice is pretty awesome

  • FUUUU- FRENCH SHANG IS PATRICK FIORI?! How was this not a part of my life sooner!?

  • Wow,the French Shang is sexy..:D

  • The french version sounds a lot like the italian one, crazy! XD

  • @RemyZAngel French and Italian are both latin language, you find many similitairies between these 2 languages.

  • @norskasbj1 actually all European languages come from a Latin origin, hence why all languages native to those areas have similarities.

And yes, Italy is also European (Southern), just in case you didn't know. (had to look it up myself to be honest.)

  • @GuardianPhoenixMedia

So many wrong things about this post. First of all, how the hell do you not know Italy is in Europe, especially considering your british. Second, not all European languages come from Latin Origin. English for example, is germanic, and there are others. Languages that come from Latin are romance languages, which include italian, french, spanish...ect.

  • @0xVx0 Well excuse me for not being geographically knowledgeable! Second, English language still originated from a Latin origin; "With the Roman conquest, Latin spread to countries around the Mediterranean, and the vernacular dialects spoken in these areas developed into the Romance languages, including Aragonese, Catalan, Corsican, French, Galician, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian," , and last time I checked, The Roman Empire included Europe.

  • @GuardianPhoenixMedia First I wasn't trying to start a war, second it doesn't take much knowledge to realize where a influencial country like Italy is. The only aspects of romance language english has was the words adopted from french when it was taken over. It is a germanic language, it does not the same grammar or origin as romance languages. "The roman empire included Europe", that was very clever and I see no way that is proving anything you wanted it to. I wasn't trying to insult anybody

  • @0xVx0 First, Neither was I. Second, Meh. Third; good day/night. =]

  • @0xVx0 I'd just like to say that it's sad that some people just can't admit that they're wrong. I'm also British, and I too cannot believe that anybody in Europe would not know where Italy was if they'd even looked at a map once. I can pinpoint Liechtenstein on a bloody map, for God's sake! Secondly, you're very much correct that English is a Germanic language, with a little Latin influence. So...yes, I just wanted you to know that some people are idiots- you, however, are not one :)

(French version is romantic

  • haha patrick fiori aura bercé mon enfance =D

  • best versions italian portugese and frech

  • Let's just say, Shang sounds hot in every language.

  • @BlueNiagra an Mulan sound sweet in every language :)

  • @BlueNiagra and Mulan sounds sweet in every language :)

It means "I'm all sweaty but I don't know how to swim", It's a play on words between "être nage" (to be all sweaty") and "nage" (first person singular of the present of the verb "nager" - to swim) ; )

  • @lexomil17 oh then my mistake XD I'm not an expert on french, but seriously, I even googled the lyrics and it said what I said so... I don't know XD

  • @lexomil17

  • This version is great.. but I still think he best two versions are the italian and the portugese, from portugal and not from brazil

  • im watching a chinese story in french. how awesome is that?

  • j'aime beaucoup!! This sounds so diff than in chinese of which i'm used too >.< :)

  • This movie is a remarkable achievement in animated cinema.I saw it on freecartoonsus and it should really get an academy award

  • Omg LOL! ♥

  • J'aime ♥

  • @toffeechaton Mdr je me sens moins seule :D

  • The bulgarian version is better in my opinion. That's not bad but ....

  • Vous êtes plus fragiles que des fillettes...

O.o I'm not entirely sure, but...

You're more fragile than little girls?

    ...*looks at Mulan*

    Ain't that the truth! O.o

  • @WickedJakyoku Yes it's vous êtes plus fragiles que des fillettes... so it's you're more fraile than little girls^^ but he looks at Mulan because he want to stop her ( she has something in her clothes) ^^

  • But why does he not wear a shirt?

  • @completeidiot For the Fanservice of course ! =D

  • They sang through the "HUAH"s at the end..

  • french sounds so bad after listening to the russian one xD

  • J'adore, j'adore ! C'est la meilleure version je trouve !

  • the french canadian one is better, in my opinion

  • Oh my God, I knew they said French was a beautiful language, but this is insanely good!

  • Ling sounds like a girl! XD

  • patick fiori's voice is sooooo sexy!!!

  • is it sad that I can sing the whole song in english right along with this one

  • @twilightgirl6021

    Moi aussi. mdr

  • Excelent

  • i think french voices are the best. Because i am french.

  • @CamiCamiisme Well I'm not French but I agree! XD

They sort of sing it strong and with more emotion~ Get what I mean? :D

  • @animegirl24319 !!! ;) i understand and thank you for enjoying french language (and maybe the culture??). As far as i am concerned, i think it's remarkable to see people who do not prefer their own voices. On youtube everyone is so chauvinistic!

  • @CamiCamiisme je suis québecoise et je trouves

  • @CamiCamiisme

I think the same way even wiyjout being French! Beautiful language and beautiful voice! I can't stop listening!))

  • @CamiCamiisme wow what a reason..

Hope my French was good :D

  • Comment removed

  • @CamiCamiisme All versions are good. Magic of Disney <3

  • Omg Mulan's voice is ADORABLE!

  • umm... for once a french dub for a song is actually good... and I'm french

  • omg its so good!!! *-*

    i love it

  • Amazing version. Lyrics are better than the brazilian one, IMO.

  • I live in belgium and I hear french everyday but this song is way cooler in flemish

they should've taken an older voice for the french version

  • the singer who make the voice of shang in french is Patrick Fiori ! he have a beautiful voice

  • @DarlingHardd

    on se moque pas XD

  • I have absolutely no idea what the fuck they're saying, but Shang's voice is sooo hot. It's fun hearing all the different languages. :)

  • @LittleNibblers wanr a translation? I'll try to translate the refrain

Like a man, be more violent than the course of the stream

Like a man, be more powerful than the hurricane

Like a man, be more ardent than the fire of the volcano

Secret like the moon's night of Orient

ps: not a very got translation sorry >o<
