This album was certainly ahead of it's time. Paul McCartney said that Pet Sounds gave him and John Lennon the inspiration for Sgt. Pepper.

I too just guess I wasn't made for these times. I get the sense of a re-mix on Spotify but maybe it is just a faulty memory. Loved this album back in the day. It kept me warm on cold nights, Shania. Although given a vinyl or your good self.......lol

Did Mike Love ever really warm up to Pet Sounds over the years? He didn't like the direction Brian's music was going at the time.

I refuse to believe this when I listen one of his songs like "Thats Not Me". That really brought his songwriting skills to light. He was just one of the genuine "sell outs" in music, sadly.
