  • Epicus Maximus !

  • When you think of it, this song was very appropriate for CoD 5.

  • cuuunta stricte(cuuunta stricte) STRIIIICTE DISCUUSSUUUURUS! EPICURUS!

  • Amazing job with the requiem mass translations.

  • holy cccccccccccccrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaap

  • very very good!!!

  • My ears are bleeding everywhere. Bleeding from AWESOMENESS.

The last that he ever wrote (and did not finish).

  • @kefkaROX Must you ruin a marvelous piece of classical music by linking it to LULZ CAWADOOTY?

  • I heard this in 'Amadeus' and in the trailer for 'Stickman Exodus' (rofl)

  • Thumbs up if you heard this song from X Men 2 - United at the beginning (Nightcrawler's theme song) but you didn't know the name of the song and you were a bit upset cuz u could not search it, and now you feel AWSOME that you finally found it!!!

  • like a storm of violins

  • i preferre verdi's version, its just that bit more powerfull

  • Wait, wait... Of course! For some reason the Lyrics was familiar to me... They're the same Lyrics in the Death Note Theme! Just weird >.<

  • great song,,i really like this one

  • ITS TOO BEAUTIFUL!!! I THINK IVE GONE DEAF!! -^_^-

  • ♥♥♥♥ it!

  • By the way, last evening i saw the Requiem performed in The Hague, my hometown. It was very impressing.

  • @Haaglander Lucky fellow!

  • LOVE Mozart!

Amazing emotional and powerful piece this is!

  • Perfect!! Thx so much for uploading Requiem in this format, I always wanted to know what is the meaning of the powerful voices in Mozart's requiem and now I'm finally able to understand..GJ!!

  • Epic as fuck.

  • He easily reached level 33 you ignorant. Mozart was a genious and your book was full of crap, none of you kow about that because you are not free masons, nor your family, like somebody said, this is an amazing masonic masterpiece, and there are plenty of them, like the magic flute.

  • Thank you for posting this, it is a beautiful and powerful portion of Requiem. The people who were raised Roman Catholic will recognize the words and works as being from the Catholic Church before it changed. It is too bad the church had to change to make it more "modern'. I personally go to a traditional, Latin speaking mass.

  • 2 people had their gravestones chiseled by Wolfgang Krauser.

  • wir singen mit unserem chor auch gerade das kommplette Mozart Requiem !

    schön ;)

  • thats just stupid....mozart's requiem is and always will be a masonic masterpiece....and no, he didnt meet the masons just because of social prestige, he really believed in those moral values....

  • wow i have to sing this for choir, so hard, yet so rewarding

  • o my gosh we has to sing this for choir.....O_o very hard

  • One of the tenors pokes out a bit. Lol.

  • Perfection!

  • behold the true meaning of art!

  • I HATE FREEMASONS BUT MOZART IS THE BEST MUSICIAN IN HISTORY OF HUMANKIND

  • @QVETXALL1990 I would not be so quick to ridicule and hate an orginization which had birthed the nation of the USA -_-

  • i love the beginning so much could listen to the first 10 seconds countless times

  • it was God!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very good work, and you've chosen a very fine performance!

  • empieza chido

  • @xemnas0000 Mozart was born and raised Roman Catholic. There was nothing Masonic about him. He died of rheumatic fever. This is a mass for the dead. It's standard in classical music, and can be the crowning piece of a composer, especially in this case. I'm writing one myself.

  • i like this video, with the lyrics.

  • kids normally don't like this

    i do

    beautiful :D

  • wow!!!!!

  • Mozart was baptized and raised a Roman Catholic and remained loyal to the Church his entire life.

xemnas0000 it seems you are the one who have been poisoned.

  • dis shit be ballin in mah caddy aigh niggaz

  • Great posting

    Mille grazie !!

  • well done hryzunik!

  • Excellent music, and christians who think we should take the lyrics as a warning are idiots.

  • @AlexOfMacedonAOMH even as a catholic, I totally agree. The warning is only for those who believe, need not for everyone and this music is excellent as you said!

  • Well. I am not very happy to be called an idiot - you obviously need to learn some tolerancy.

By the way, I believe that God exists, whether you believe it or not.

And these words are not warnings for us = Christians, but they are warnings for them who do not believe...

  • no they are not the words for those who don't believe. if you really are a christian as you claim you should know that Jesus never forced his father's religion upon others. people are free to choose their faith.

  • IMO, when one warns you this means that he is telling you what can happen. It is not enforcement. And it is Christ's religion, as he and his father are one. I think we belong to different sides of Christianity and let's stop here.

  • of course not YOURE BLIND... become christian is the only way to go to heaven WORSHIP my invisible intangible god... makes so much sence... you're so idiot...

greets a little of sarcasm to make your day happier friend...

  • erm, actually christianity doesn't state that becoming christian is the only way to go to heaven. be so kind and do some research before insulting people. are you not embarrased for using insulting words with no apparent reason.

anyway, people, why are you debating on religion? can't you simply enjoy the music? O_0

  • mmm the bad words were used on sarcasm... christianity is just plain manipulation by rulers to keep the people blind and easy to handle... and for you...

    well...

Hail Satan 14 year old moroon...

  • oh my, can't even find intelligent people for an interesting discussion nowadays, oh well. I already see what kind of future awaits you with that behaviour of yours.

whatever. talk is over. now I'm just sitting back, and enjoying the music. so long. loser

  • two camels in a tiny car!!!

  • @greatviking13

Jesus answered them: "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the father except through Me." - John 14:6

Christ is THE way to heaven, period. I understand you don't believe in Christianity, but please don't try to change what the Bible says.

  • @Dumbledore303 I guess I have just read different interpretation. things like that happen u know

  • @greatviking13

That's understandable. My point is simply that Christ said He was the only way to heaven, regardless of what others say.

  • Better than Verdi's version

  • of course, how could you compare anyway!

  • @guyomh I personally think Edith Mathis' version is the best.

  • of course my friend! It's Mozart!!!!!!

  • Thanks for posting these videos.

    They are great.

    And the nusic is DIVINE

    as Salieri would say... :-)

  • Mozart was such a genius. even if you do not believe that a day of gods wrath will come.

  • Mozart wrote this while he felt his own death! He lived his death! Maybe God told him what to compose... This 1:53 closes all the music of the universe! My oppinion!

  • @drummerhellas you're probably right i know that mozart wrote lacrymosa which was played at his funeral, homo reius was a reference to the man that killed him

  • yeah where can i download this song? iv been trying for ages and i just want that 1st part. any suggestions?

  • the real voice of God.

  • This is definitely one of the best classical pieces ever created!

  • This music truly is amazing and the lyrics, even if I disagree with them, or artful in the way that most translated things sound nice.

  • Frightening words and also the music

  • Yes. Although many people only see this as good music, devout Christians believe there is coming a day when God's wrath will be poured out on all unrighteousness. We have salvation from that wrath and peace with God through Christ.

  • I do not agree with you :)

  • To tayh212: I do not understand. You don't agree that there will be a day of judgment? You don't agree that we are reconciled to God by Christ? or, You don't agree that Christians believe those things? I believe you do think it is good music, yes? :0)

  • Comment removed

  • You're completly wrong imoho

  • You are definitely entitled to your opinioin. I am merely stating what most Christians believe. Of course, you do not state why you think I'm wrong -- but then youtube is really not the place for such debates.

  • indeed YouTube is not the place, however it'd be great to debate about this

  • Which Requiem do you like better. Mozart or Verdi

  • i am only heard a mozart requiem ,,

where can i found a verdi requiem ?

  • o ok..well my bad then. i dont really know about him. just something i thought. thanx for the info.

  • now...im not sure..but i believe mozart was a freemason or a mason..and perhaps he converted or became a believer of Christ and hence was poisoned. this might explain why in his last peices he basically cries out to God to forgive him!

  • He did not write the lyrics, those are just standard lyrics for requiem and they come from a middleages poem. And he met with freemasons, but it was probably only because of social prestige, he was not very smart and did not thing about political issues much. That is what I read in one of the newest and most credible books about him.

  • @hryzunik Please. Mozart imbued meaning, emotion, and power to these words. It is the meaning that counts. Otherwise, you might as well have a munchkin recite the lord's prayer and see how silly it sounds.

  • @hryzunik very nice put. You forgot to say that he could be the best composer ever though :) as for the not being smart... that's a long topic... definitions and philosophy come into play...

  • @hryzunik How do you mean "not very smart" just so I don't misunderstand you?

  • @hnksnw I simply meant that socially and intelectually he was not very sophisticated. He was quite childish and rough. I did not mean to offend, I just report what I have read. Even in "Amadeus" he is portrayed that way. He was a musical genius, of course, but in other areas he just was not that bright, apparently.

  • @hryzunik Mozart was Roman Catholic. He was involved with the Church his whole life. I think the commenter above was right in that in his last year, he sensed he was going, and he was crying out to God. Also.... "Amadeus" is fiction. Letters written by people who knew him make clear that he was very polished. I am a Mozart fan too, but let's love him for who he was!

  • @hryzunik

OMG, do you really believe that the movie Amadeus (1984) is historically accurate?

  • @Haaglander Of course I don't. I just meant that the creators of the movie were probably familiar with some historical descriptions of Mozart's behaviour and so they portrayed him that way. The fact that they made many circumstances up is irrelevat here.

  • @hryzunik

Are you aware of the fact that everything is written about Mozart could be true or false and that we do not know what exactly true is?

  • @Haaglander Sure, but what is your point? That I should not claim that he was rude, because all those descriptions of his behaviour might be false? Than I am not really sure, what can we positively say about him, because everything might be false... The way someone behaves is usually mentioned in various different sources, because many people meet and know the person and they express their opinion about him. It should give as at least a rough idea about his character.

  • @hryzunik

Rudeness was a common behaviour of people those days. You should read the letters from Anna Maria Mozart (mother) to Leopold Mozart (father). You will get red ears. :)

Nevertheless, could we really assess someone's character from a few (fragments of) letters (from him, to him and about him)? We know that Constanze (wife) has destroyed many letters after the death of Wolfie. Why did she do that? Her reputation, his reputation? We don't know.

  • @Haaglander Wolfie! LOL

  • @hryzunik I never knew that. Makes sense though. You have a good mind. :)

  • I'm not sure about that. Hopefully, in his final hours - he did repent of believing in the lies of the Freemasonry.

  • @xemnas0000

Mozart was indeed a Mason, rising to the rank of 'Master'. He joined the 'Beneficence' lodge and later other,it would have been required that he belong to such a body, not only for the social acceptance but because,in his time, they were one of the few places that new ideas could be discussed without fear of reprisal.

  • @xemnas0000 Mozart was in the first three ranks of Masonry, where individuals are taught that Masons believe in One, Eternal God ect. and that Masonry is a humanistic organisation.

  • @xemnas0000 You do realize freemasonry is not a religion, in fact in order to join you have to proclaim there is a god you believe in. He could not "convert" from freemasonry, because in order for him to join he had to believe in a god, which was probably the christian god.

  • @callethathegreat sorry to disturb you, but if you feel like an expert in freemasonry, can you explain me the difference between white, blue and red f-m? And on what level do you think W.A.Mozart was?

  • @xemnas0000 Mozart was a Roman Catholic.

  • GAU´s eye

  • We used to sing it on music lessons in the school, we enjoyed it so much ;)

  • is this lyric correct?

  • Well...personally I prefer Verdi's version.Gives that "It's the end of the world as we know it" feel more.

  • I couldn't stand to be without Verdi's or Mozart's, but yeah Verdi's is so intense. It does sound like "it's the end of the world as we know it" for sure!

  • Death and nature will be amazed with the awakening of the creature to answer to his Judge!!!

Great video, I love Mozart's Requiem

  • @antiorea: I couldn't agree more.

  • Was it this music that costed him his life? In the movie he got sick during the writing of something. Does anyone know? This side of him is sort of dark.

  • yeah, this is the one, well, the whole requiem, but he was sick before of this, he wrote this one thinking that this was the requiem for his own funerals

  • mozart is amazing i wish i could have lived in his time so i could have meet him he was a genius!!!!!!!

  • awesome, our choir is doing this song for a competition...

  • i absolutly loooove mozart, he's pure genius.

i'm getting "dies irae dies illa" tattooed on me soon.

and yup, i agree with argeHu.

  • "Dies irae" together with "Kyrie" is the most powerful part of "Requiem". It makes unbelievable peak of emmotions, nirvana, divinity...

  • they put this song in x-men2 in the beginng when night crawler attacks

  • The first time I heard this song was in the "Amadeus" movie.

  • perfect!! just perfect!!!

  • great work, thanks for putting the translations next to the lyrics!

  • This is awesome; I downloaded it with LimeWire.

  • fuck! this is amazing!!!!

  • cool

  • nice and i think it is on itunes FOR FREE!!!!

  • I love it its the best thing i have seen on youtube, i saved all your videos.

  • But if it's availible on iTunes.... I'm getting it!

  • Your welcome! Is Mozart's Requiem availible on CD? If it is, I'm asking for it this Christmas!

  • Of course it is, there are many versions of it, every orchestra performs it slightly differently. This one is from Peter Schreier, Staatskapelle Dresden, Rundfunkchor Leipzig.

  • Okay!! Thanks!

  • I LOVE this!!!!!
