The reason Logitech down sized this unit so they could bring down the cost of the unit & the shipping costs. The price range for the Z-5500 was from $399 to 500 dollars and the weight problem many Courier companies where charging for 3 day shipping additional $150 for shipping so you can see why this unit was down sized. In the future there will be no problem finding the Z-5500 due to the weight & cost there still lots left.

@jury71 same here they have gona surprisingly cheap so im thinking of picking them up. My cousins got it and it is amazing he lives in a mansion and it shakes his room (its really well built carpet hard floor etc..) they are much better and twice as powerful. If your going for a loud system then it might be a bit louder, I was playing arkham city on it and they sounded epic the bass is so good almost like bose and for £220 im picking one up. yh its well louder :)
