  • How often should I do this?

  • so can i use violin rosin?

  • @freed456t Yes violin rosin is widely used...

  • happy that i only need to rosin one side for cello and not 2 that would take a long time :)

  • i am so glad there are lessons for the erhu on here, noone in my city knows how to play it let alone even heard of it.

  • So tansungwah, how much is the highest quality erhu at the reasonable price?

  • i find that cello rosin is beater for my erhu

  • @ghkj2 You'll destroy your erhu if you do that for long term, plus your strings will be more fragile.

  • @RedMewtwo ive been using it on the same bow for about 4 years and its still good and works much better than normal rosin

  • Umm... What is rosin?

  • rosin is a dried tree extract. rub this on bow(for bowed instruments) to work. it is also needed to apply in violin bow.

  • To add to aaroncurley's explanation, a bowed instrument's string generates sound by sticking and slipping against the bow. Without rosin, nothing sticks, and it makes zero sound (like drawing your finger along a guitar string).

  • Very nice. Thank you!

  • Thanks for the video!
