that's is awsome! i have a male india ringneck that i can put him up side down. he is still 9 month old now. but when i put a stick to close to him, he fly away...i need some of your advice. thanks
I taught my mom's sun conure and my eclectus the trick with hanging upside down. Its still in progress, though. Sadly, I feel bad I can't do much with my cockatoo. We got him through a friend's coworker and he's about 25. We've had him since January and although he's a real sweetheart and will let you pet him wherever... he screams and is disabled. He's missing a foot and gets around with his stump. So holding him seems near impossible and really disappoints me, as he's bonded with me :s
My cockatiel only tries to bite me when im getting him out of his cage but then after hes he doesnt bite he just sits on my finger or shoulder wat should i do id rather u answer this in a video plz
@hungryforfoodable It is best to train the bird in a neutral place. Bring one of the birds favorite treats to that room and location. Soon your bird will be looking forward to going to your training spot. Rod V.
Hello, i have two lovebirds and they dont bite me, but when i try to pick them up they just run away and never let me pick them up and whenever i get close to them they just get scared. :( What should i do?
Wow that was impressive stuff there rob. Absolutly amazing. Im at the stage of hand feeding my cockatiel and getting him used to my hand being really close to him. He has nipped me a couple of tomes but i dodnt react. I just gave him a firm no!
What should i try nect to get him to perch on my hand or finger.
hello i've got a question, i have a 15 year old cockatoo and she didn't want to go outside her cage, what should i do to get her outside by herself? Thank you Rod, please respon
Hi ya, I have bought a 7 year old Galah Cockatoo and when we went to see him in the shop he loved me and I could rub his head and belly and under his wing but now where home he loves my husband and wont let me touch him. He takes a sun flower seed out of my hand but wont let me stroke him, he puts his head down to stroke him then goes to bite me when I do try to stroke him,
Im feeling really defeated as my husband can do anything with him and his just not having it with me help please
@kayteb2b The bird is most likely bonded to your husband. It is fairly common for Cockatoos to bond with a single person. Be sure your husband is not petting the birds back. Try to become part of the flock by interacting with the bird and your husband at the same time. Look for more tips in my book. I hope this helps you. Rod V.
Hi Rod, i have a white face 8 week old cockatiel. i haved him for a week. his also molting his also male. sorry about the alsos. his weird. he never shows affection. when i hold him he chews my clothing but also spred his wings and bob his head making a hissing noise. please help
wow, i have been searching for a way to tame my blue crowned conure i just got days ago, by far te best taming video i have seen, thank you for sharing this and i am sure my new friend harry will thank you too =)
@ryandon111qwe You have allowed your bird to establish the dominant position in your relationship. Do not allow your bird to get on your shoulder or higher than your eye level. You need to become the dominant one in your relationship. Rod V.
wow amazing... great job, that is truly amazing. i just got a pair of cockatiels, and tomorrow is going to be my 2nd day with them and i really want to bond with them!
I have more than ultimate trust with my rabbit, he lets me put my hand in his mouth without biting, wish my lovebirds were like that though
