i love this video. for the first 3 minutes i think, "oh this is just a pretty simple chord progression, no big deal..." and then you start singing and i think to myself "holy shit that guys voice is incredible. i will never sound like this". seriously, your voice is incredible for this song
I think i have the same number of fingers as you and definately a pair of thumbs, but mine are too unruly for this, so i guess i'll just watch you, Drake and Frank. Maybe one day!
thanks. you can count me as one of the requesters for this song. i want to learn it. i love jackson c frank's writing. i've managed one of his songs but likely not all the details.
WOW, man, what a great job you do of singing! This may be an odd request, but do you know how to play any dave evans? (tabs = non existant, and without knowing the tunings I find it 100% impossible to figure out)
you have such a cool life and impeccable taste.I'm sure Nick would be (with reservations:)thrilled to have so many people emulate him.Thank you so much for this lesson.
Thankyou. I am so grateful that you have provided this great guitar lesson. I find it so difficult to learn by ear and its great being able seeing someone demonstrate it for whoever chooses to have a crack at this beautiful Jackson C Frank song. Cheers.

That first chord you refer to would be an A add9 shape with no 3rd (C#).

@TrollFredrik True, I can't for the life of me remember why I didn't just refer to it as a sus chord.

Thanks a lot for this. Was looking for the C. Frank tab all over the place. Or the S. Denny. but nothing came up.
This made my freaking day. Thanks again.

I cannot believe I found this
Talk about an obscure Nicholas Rodney Drake (doh! Jackson C Frank I mean!) song!

Well their names rhyme sort of, and both artists are great folk musicians, so I can see why you would get mixed up. :P

Thanks for illustrating this. I love the Nick Drake version, and this helped to get me started. *note* Nick capos on the 3rd for that one.
