My father was born with a hole in his heart. Doctors told his parents that he would not live to be 5 years old. He went through many open heart surgeries. I was blessed to have him for 27 years. I lost him to a massive heart attack 14 days after he turned 50 in 2007. God is good. Doctors do not know everything.

This song made me break down in tears. I absolutely love it. I thank God for this song, that keeps me praising him for what he is worth. Beautifully said! As a heart mom - I appreciate the words written from a place of unmeasurable fear and uncertainty. I too remember choosing love, choosing my baby over any pain it may cause - I knew he was worth the risk!!! I became a nurse after my "heart baby" was born and I have since seen parents afraid to love their child - It's a horrible truth! I wish they could understand that the love is worth the fear and possible loss. Thank you for sharing your truth with those around you! <3

Seeing your days old child have open heart surgery and not knowing if you will see them alive again and yet loving them with all you have because they are worth all the fear and pain. @scsors Actually, that's exactly what shows God loves us. Every one of us is given the choice to either love Him or reject Him. Hell is simply a place that is separate from God. The Bible gives us an image of hellfire and brimstone, but the torment is ultimately being apart from His presence. We were created to be with Him, but he loves us enough to allow us to make that choice.
