@HouseCrafts why do you think he placed his camera at the same position as his monitor? I think you have to aim a little bit to hit the right button in the air -.-
@DerBananenbaum The keypad was drawn with a pen on a piece of glass, that was aligned with the virtual keypad. I had to keep an eye on the computer screen to see if the keystrokes were being recognized. I tracked the hand contour through the glass.
hey!!....for the stupid people say this is fake/not true or anything stupid...
please open your mind... this possible for the programmer... i mean the professional programmer... this work cause its detecting color frequency and size...this is just for a test and nobody know about the future..
did you program this? because i would like to make a suggestion. i do not know very much about programming but the blue lines seem to shake a lot. what if you put on like bright gloves? and put maybe low brightness LED's on the fingertips to help track movement? just an idea. awesome video
looks like he's tracking finger presses as deviations from an open hand with a simple virtual interface... although it is a little clumsy but most coputer vision systems are... still very good work

Congratulations you have just figured out exactly how a multi-touch screen works. all be it alittle bit over-complicated. Though projection multi-touch screens work using a vary similar tracking method and algorithm.algrathem.
then when is the vts 3rd generation coming up?

Multi-Touch works other way. Camera trackings is a way more complicated on software level than multi-touches - they are "heavier" for hardware.
