  • This is a very powerful tribute to those who lost their lives in the battle of passchendaele My granduncle from Dublin. gunner in the Royal Field Artillery was killed on October 1917, two other brother's also died in other battles, out of five relatives who fought in the Great War, only two made it back to Ireland. Thanks for the memory.

  • This is wonderful. Interesting to see that some modern people actually remember that war. Sometimes I think no one does...I have found 2 gorgeous things that have a similar theme: Type in "Red, red rose" (R. Burns): a historic montage, much of it WW I, and "Scottish Soldier-Isla St Clair-Gordon Walker." Both of these are Scots,so I hope they don't make anyone clench his teeth in fury.I am only a dopey American, so I have sympathy for all these poor devils.Great Irish song, WW1:Willie McBride
