  • I have viewed many of your videos and listened to much of your varied commentaries. I applaude you for your convictions and professionalism while appreciating how difficult it must be for women, attractive ones nonetheless-such as yourself, in such a male dominated industry. I wish you many safe runs and a Merry Christmas!!!

  • @mjfmjf111 Thanks... You Too! marry Christmas

  • @TruckerDesiree

You are welcome. I meant every word I said. I hope to meet you one day out on the road...

  • My younger brother is a trucker, based out of Fresno Cal, and I had no idea there was any adverse bahavior toward women in trucking. That is what my user name is about. The International White Ribbon Campaign. . . . . . . . .ending violence against women, worldwide. I learned about it from a very special Australian lady facebook friend of mine. How are things now? I take it you are still a driver? On to another of your videos. :)

  • @whiteribbonman1 I currently maintain several awareness raising efforts in social media , 1 in particular is a Facebook "LIKE" Page called "Real Women Truckers" a couple blogs & twitter accounts. I am off the road commercially at this time after having a pretty severe injury. I have found that many women who enter trucking do originate from some sort of domestic violence situation in their past. Trucking provides a sense of freedom but getting through the training IN TACT remains a huge hurdle.

  • @TruckerDesiree YOU'RE a busy lady even though you're not in a tractor these days! I had no idea that some women turn to trucking because of domenstic violence! I guess work is always a place to go to get away, just harder if you have kids. I have one left in school. The "training IN TACT" bit. . . . . am I correct that you mean the company provided type is the huge hurdle? My brother wants to be a trainer for women, but I just smile that his company won't let him. Hope you are healing okay!

  • @whiteribbonman1 Yes, it is ironic that there is freedom from being in a co-dependant domestic violence living situation if you can survive truck driver training & go off solo. There is a deep sense of pride and accomplishment that many Women tell me they feel after emerging from ... once they become successful at trucking.

  • One more point, what you do on a truck doesn't just effect you. IT EFFECTS EVERY DRIVER OUT THERE.

  • @mogges1 Good Point!

  • most of the rule the drive operate under today is because of the drives 30 yrs ago.how about this one a new drive for builders transport deside he wanted to take his wife and his wife girl fiend along. sound ok right. . how about this the driver deside he want to get into the sleep with his wife.guess who he let drive the truck YEAH the wifes girl friend.all three of them died becasue on that stuips edit./My poin to this is it stop other drive from takeing the wife on the truck

  • You new drivers want to know why that truck only goes 65 mph. Will let me tell you how it was back in the 70 and 80.back then truck where not govern.trucks would run 110 mph.wide open. But driver back then had no self control they would stay up all night take drug to keep away. then hit the road tyring to make a delivery appointment running as fast as that truck could go. so the on speed and tired and fall a sleep doing 95 to 100 and wind up kilingl themselves and every one around them.

  • So what does it say when a driver come in to a company, say wal mart and looks like he hasn't taken a bath for weeks and his clothes looks like they came out of the trash and there attitude is like they world own them everything.DRIVERS YOU REPISENT A COMPANY, YOU ARE THE SPOKES MAN AND WOMAN.AND WHEN YOU LOOK LIKE A GANG BANGER AND YOU RIG LOOK LIKE IT JUST CAME OUT OF A RECKING YARD THAT STATE SOMTHING ABOUT the COMPANY you drive for

  • that what got me when I drove, is the way the jack ass dress now day.when i started it was boot a white shirt. there was none of this cut off are sweat pan that almost fall off.and believe it are not the was a weight limit, when I started there was a sence of pride.I have seen some of these guy come out of there truck and thought shit i wouldnt let that ass in my wear housethese drive to dauy i guess dont realis that they reposent a company they do not see the dispatcher, they see the driver

  • You are very sexy!

  • The hardest part of the job for me was having no life. It would be a beautiful sunny day outside and i'd be inside my truck because there was nothing to do. You're stuck in a piss smelly ass infested dirty truck strop and that's your life. You have no life. That's why I stopped trucking.

  • @moneyman237952 I was able to get out of my truck because I took walks and located places using my PDA that I could get to on foot during my down time. I got a Massage membership at a place that is nationwide called Massage Evny, went to Barnes and Noble to read books or Strabucks to get out of the Truck, even going to get my nails done. That helped a lot but I saw many people never even get out of their trucks, they just sit in there. That is not healthy and adds to lonliness

  • @TruckerDesiree yea i guess it's what you make of it. I know that trucking isn't for everybody. And it definately wasn't for me. I have no regrets on getting my cdl though. It's paid for itself countless times and i've been able to pay off all my debt and see the country and things i'd never think i'd ever see.

  • @moneyman237952 I agree 100 percent in trucking your life just comes to a complete stand still life and family members just pass you bye.

  • Amen. I see you got your safe driving jacket. Good job.

  • @nborell YES! I do have my safe driving jacket & I am proud to wear it! I never thought I'd be proud to wear a blue satin jacket but I sure earned this one & I feel good when I am wearing it... even if it doesn't match to well sometimes. :-)

  • Um.... no... I don't get your point but that is okay.... it's probably best .....Take Care

  • You cant get my point so just leave it.I want to congratulate you again for doing such diffrent job and promise me that when you drive you drive safly and never think that this is a small thing i should runover it or i have the power noone can catch me.i hope you understand

  • Thank You Desiree ,Keep Up The Great Job, Keep The Video's Coming

  • I like the people who do diffrent things, but i came to know that female trucker are bad drive. In switlan the female trucker runover 12 people and ended whole family it is said that they are making road unsafe and should be banned, whats your view about this topic

  • @madarchod92 Last year I was attending a trucking convention there was a crash where a Male Truck driver killed 11 Mennonite people in a Church Van.

I heard about the awful crash just after I met 2 Women Truckers who received awards for driving 3 Million safe miles

  • I appreciate your work good keep it up.being a women its hard for you to do this job.tell me that how you feel when you drive heavy trucks which are for men only

  • @madarchod92 When I drive a Truck I feel like a person who cares about doing a good job. It does not require a cock of any size.... common sense gives longevity.

Being a truck driver does not require a person to shit nails, I guess that is the "BIG SECRET" of trucking that an insecure Man would like to make Women believe to be true.

REAL Men LOVE seeing Women driving Trucks ..... It makes them SMILE ... ear to ear....

    Thanks for the comment!
