Yeah that's what they eat. It's actually man made nectar not milk. I have fostered them for a parrot rescue before. This sugary substance is what I had to feed them over fresh fruit.

The Rainbow Lorikeets are part of a keeper encounter at Auckland Zoo, 11:15 everyday. The milk like substances is probably left over from this. The substance is a formula contain complain, hot water and sugar to replicates a nectar type substance which is there natural food in the wild.

rainbow lorikeets, i feed these birds on my balcony twice a day and i can easily have over sixty of them at once on my balcony, some are even tame
