Image can have different meanings in this context. i believe we were created in the Characteristic image of God which before sin entered the world through sin was LOVE, WISDOM, JUSTICE & POWER. Since sin entered into us because of Adam and Eves sin against God we have lost these characteristics of God. No one knows what Gods physical appearance is like and this shouldnt matter to us but we should strive to have the characteristics of God :)

Does the fact that this scripture has been mistranslated concern anybody at all? Why do we insist on perverting the text to fit our preconceived notions and then build entire theologies based on our distortions? Lets consider honoring the text for its actual message and allow the scripture to teach us the truth without bias or distortion.
