Epic song.. I actually somehow missed hearing this before. Loving it, but.. I hope Im not the only one who heard 'You're behind me once again, rising from my ecstasy' and couldnt help but think 'hehe buttsex'
@purpelaar You do know that's Myths and Legends is an unauthorized bootleg that Kamelot doesn't get a dime from, right? It was debunked on the Kamforum.
I think all Kamelot members are quite religious in some extent. This is obvious to their lyrics. However Conception were somewhat antireligious in some songs (A Million Gods, My Decision etc.)
@EradicationStation In no way they are anti-christian. They have a great respect for others beliefs. They merely take a philosophic approach in their music. Listen to Memento Mori, Serenade, The Human Stain, Pendulous Fall. Nothing really anti christian about them.
@CodyAllenmusic Being secular shows that Kamelot is a mature band who doesn't wish to offend anyone, and they're obviously knowledgeable in the religious topics they do bring up. It might be beneficial as a fan of their music to attempt to adopt a similar trait, rather than wishing for unneeded hatred towards a specific belief.
@griggins Interesting that you bring that up. It is not that I hate any one religion, it is just that I hate war, and what are 90% of wars caused by? I wouldn't care if this band was Muslim, I still love their music, it is a bonus that it isn't shoving ridiculous doctrine down my throat. I enjoy level-headed music like Kamelot, but I also really enjoy anti deist music like NOFX, it is all intelligent music.
If you don't like this band, you obviously don't like music and should stop listening altogether. One of the greatest, charismatic bands I've ever had the honor to see live.
@TheHorrorMovieFanX last year they were in romania, but I was in hospital and I've missed them.....a gr8 show.... and this year, khan left....he was the voice that brought me in metal, made Kam my fav band, my idol.... now onn, I will live with this :( sad memmories
@FaustianDreams: So why is it not in the discography of the band? Do you have any links to press releases when it was officially released? I tried to order it, but none of the shops has it.
Queensryche was a big influence on the founder Thomas Youngblood I believe. But that whole channeling stuff seems awkward to me, because I'm not that kind of spiritual person I guess.
But you are spot on with the queensryche as an influence.
I love Queensrych and got to see them perform along with Judas Priest. Jeff is awesome. But Rob Halford is a great showman. I havent seen Kamelot live and Im not like to unfortunately : (. But I do know Queensryche too ans so do my kids. theyre good babve. Not forgotten yet lol.
queensrych is damn good, atleast operation mindcrime and empire. Those are the best two, i do believe. Circus Maximus is a real good band, don't mean to promote, the singer sounds like jeff tate, maybe better. Kamelot is one freaking bomb of a band, they sound damn good live, although I liked conception more.
These guys are the best song writers making music today. Their compositions are just astounding. I sometimes think they are channeling Chris DeGarmo. Take this song, it strongly reminds me of Queensryche's "I Don't Believe In Love." Any thoughts?
Sucks that 1 day before I was going to see them Khan got sick D:

Of course their albums Epica and Black Halo are concept albums of the story Faust. Which is a bit religious in itself.

People are allowed to have opinions. If he doesn't like the band, then he's allowed to not like them.
Of course, saying that they suck, or have no talent, is a different story XP
