  • I wish these weren't sold out :(

  • For God´s sake, I´ve trying to buy these and the neo geo ones, if anyone have them, please enter in con

    tact!

  • Great thanks for this upload :-) This will come in handy for my Saturn Shmups!

  • Haha, got it - thanks :)

  • does anyone have a 3rd party controller for the saturn?

I recently purchased a couple of st propads (on the internet and they haven't arrived yet) and I wanted to know if they have any ergonomical moldings. I've also seen a couple other models that looked flat like the super pad 8.

  • lots of great info never knew lcds lagged I generally play all my games on my crt just because they seem to look better to me thats a nice adaptor never seen any thing like that

  • @ikey1555 The truth is that even CRTs lag, but probably the least of any display. To be fair, some LCDs and Plasmas reach CRT-like speeds when switched to game modes or when all of the graphical filters are switched off. This is not the case with most of the sets out there and the industry is either unaware of the issue or doesn't care. And until people just stop buying LCDs that suffer from gameplay effecting lag, manufactures are unlikely to fix the issue.

  • @ikey1555 Oh, and some HD CRTs suffer from really nasty lag. I should know, I own one. My 5 year old Samsung HD TV displays a beautiful picture but input lag is several milliseconds, making it impossible to play fighting games. But that is a topic for another discussion.

My general rule is if you are playing shmups and fighting games, you are best off sticking with an old, standard def CRT.

  • cool adapter hori is king :D

  • That's a cool site...I only saw ps1 controller to AES converters...I'd get one that let me use Saturn pads on a Neo Geo. I need a second controller for my AES and finding one on ebay isn't cheap.

  • @JerryTerrifying Yeah, my mistake. I was going from memory. You may want to email them... They may build one if the demand is there.

  • @wip3outguy7 Lol no problem dude. I guess I could just get a ps1 - AES converter then get a ps1 arcade stick. I just happen to have a pretty sweet Saturn Arcade stick, the only one I own besides my Neo Geo stick, so that would have been conveniant. :D

Maybe I will toss them an e-mail and see what happens.

  • Pretty cool video! That adapter is neat also. I need to get me a Saturn.

  • Man I got a double hit of that Hori stick in a row - my head's spinning LOL!!

Cool adaptor - worth knowing about since I play a lot of shooters on the Saturn, and also have a Gammac Fantastick which is PC/PS3 compatible, mind you that's got a USB port so I expect I would need a different adaptor. Do you have any views of the Gammac stick? Good / bad / average? Seems pretty solid to me, I'm no expert though. Looking forward to seeing another of your gameplay vids, perhaps a shooter...!!

  • @futurematt5 Actually, I had never heard of Gammac until now. It looks as if they are using Korean arcade parts so I can't see how you could go wrong. I have never played on Korean sticks I cannot comment on their build quality or how they compare to HAPP or Sanwa and Seimitsu. I need to hunt one of these down locally and test it out. Very cool stuff, thanks for telling me about these.

I don't have a LOT of shooters but I will see if I can make something interesting.
