But they simply grew up. They're 39 years old, they aren't going to be singing about being bored as fuck, smoking weed, meth, or masturbating. They've grown up.

@Sk8YardSH yea they grew up, but that still doesnt mean they cant be punk ya know? strummer was a punk till the day he died. lydons still goin at it too. i think green day still have that punk attitude, and sometimes the punk music but they definetly like to try other stuff. like i know American Idiot (the song) was a big hit but listen to the lyrics and really focus on the music. its a punk song. same with she's a rebel, and st. jimmy.
