  • I remember watching this when it aired!! Fuckin ace to see it again!

  • Bliss!

  • The Best band of the World.

  • Husker Du?

  • Love this band and this one is my favourite video of this song. Waiting someone's upload of yesterday's performance in Rio...

The big smile Gerry gives at the end of the song brightens my day :-)

  • @ElizabethMariya

    I was there!!!!! =]

  • the band were at their best when they were influenced by grunge, in my opinion, and i would also say they were influenced by shoegaze, the pixies, the byrds, big star and a few others.

  • love this band, album and song but they were too influenced by grunge at this point...

  • @alramone1

'influenced by grunge'? I suggest silence.

  • @meinLiebsterFeind Type "Teenage Fanclub About A Girl" into the Youtube search bar and then apologise to alramone1.

  • @Allrightteam

  • I agree with you guys re Gerard's songs, they were always my favourite Teenage Fanclub songs. He was/is one of the best songwriters to come out of Scotland ever.

  • Did they have a song that had the line "Don't fuck it up"? Or am I thinking of someone else?

  • @rednumberone Yes. "Fear Of Flying" from the album "Thirteen".

  • where's the harmonies? ;(

  • jools holland still looks the same, i reckon he has a portrait of himself in his attic which has aged grotesquely

  • Love Love LOVE!

  • this doesn't sound anything like dinosaur jr. unless all guitar and drum bands sound alike. big star or thr birds, sure. but dino? that's ridiculous.

  • The first album had some serious Dinosaurisms - and that was a good thing which they freely acknowledged in interviews. There's a version on youtube of J mascis returning the favour with a cover of 'everything flows'.

  • I've read that because of their love of the byrds and big star, they were once called the Big Byrdz.

    That's what I've read.

  • Replace the singer with J Mascis and you could have any number of songs on Green Mind. Musically this is very similar.

  • klinsmeier - they knew they sounded like Dinosaur Jr. - hence the album title "Bandwagonesque" (although this song was from the album "Thirteen", which came later).

  • gerard love wrote some of the best pure guitarpop songs of the 90's! sparky's dream!!

  • @inputmodule

Definitely! I love all the Fannies but Gerard wrote my favourite songs...genius!

  • Sounds like Dinausaur Jr. - that was the sound then...

  • lovenergy

  • Are you sure?

  • Brilliant - love the way they start it too, nae pissin' about! :)

  • Que grandes los TFC, q grande esta canción!!

  • can't relate to yesterday, what we did was wrong.... Yeah.

  • Did you know when I was young

I'd paint my face with the latest craze

  • Find a craze that fits and stay there for awhile

  • Superb drumming ....a great performance.

  • you dont have them doing "older guys" from the same show do you? That was brilliant.

  • Dude.. did it happened really? I would give my mother in law away to watch that clip.

  • brilliant brilliant ... I love Gerry!

  • fender jag too best guitar bar none go on the fannies
