Liverpool had very good players like Luis Garcia, Xabi Alonso (world class), Carragher who was probably one of the best defenders that time. Gerrard saved us against Olympiacos group stage in 05 where we almost got out and his first goal inspired us to victory in the final. You don't make sense by saying Liverpool's team was crap when we had the likes of Alonso.

If you have a look between 1 and 2 seconds everyone on both teams stop and gerrard and defender are the only two continuing...Referee had obviously blown the whistle about half a second after its left beckhams boots...so there was no offsides, there was obviously another infringement in the box

Gerrard hasn't played half as many games as Lampard as an AMF, if Gerrard played in the hole his whole career his numbers would trump Lampard, anyone who can't see how much more complete of a footballer Stevie is than Lamps is blind. Liverpool had very good players like Luis Garcia, Xabi Alonso (world class), Carragher who was probably one of the best defenders that time. Gerrard saved us against Olympiacos group stage in 05 where we almost got out and his first goal inspired us to victory in the final. You don't make sense by saying Liverpool's team was crap when we had the likes of Alonso.
