  • Good and clear tutorial.

The meaning of C1, E1 is that these keys are the next octave up. This 'Happy Birthday' version is in Key of C Major starting on the 5th, G note -- all white notes on the diatonic C Major 7 note scale. Second time around playing 'Happy Birthday' chorus, or even first time through, can use a 'G' note in place of 'E' note third letter note in, third line down, shown above. Adjust other notes accordingly. Always use ear in music -- write notes to self to remember, memorize.

  • what do u mean f1 e1 c1 d1?

  • @amy45756 f1 e1 c1 d1 means "E in the first octave"

  • I know thos song now, Thannnx

  • Dude...

    A bit confusing on your 3rd line you have G, G, E1, C1, B A and a fine-print over in white G, G, G1, E1, C1, B, A which is the correct version with the extra G1 after the 2nd G.

And... the notes that are held longer you should put a dash after the letter such as G, G, A, G, C1, B--

Otherwise would look like they're all 1-beat each.

    I'd prefer a version in C like C, C, D, C, F, E--, etc. easier to sing.

A version without left-hand chords (guitar fill-in) is as amateur as you can get.

  • Niiiice. :D
