Wow -- sorry for not getting back to you, I forgot. Must be losing it in my old age. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed this, but I'm especially glad that it's piqued your interest in the rest of my work! :)
Thanks for the nice words! It was pretty easy to put together, since I just took old footage from a spoof that I worked on with my friend a few years back. I purposely skipped frames and repeated them to give the jump cut/film splice effect, then used Windows Movie Maker to add that old beat-up film look to it (sometimes repeatedly over the same shot to downgrade it even further). You should definitely try making one of these trailers yourself, they're lots of fun! Thanks once again!
The editing=awesomeness. You know, Carlos, I don't watch videos here on YT anymore. Just haven't been into it. That being said, once you make a video, it's something that must be seen. Granted, you posted this a few weeks ago, but I justed realized that. Anyway, great job! Catch your next video in the summer 2008. :P
lukettylwillie=awesomeness. You like that? I just made it up. Sure enough, I've noticed that my YT viewing has dropped considerably in the past couple of months, paring it down to the essentials, which the lukettylwillie channel is certainly one of. (FYI, if you had left a negative comment, I'd have said you had no business on YT and I couldn't care less what you think. That's how I roll.) Thanks, Luke!
Summer 2008? You think I'd have one ready so soon?
Pomona heat baby!! yeah!! Pretty cool man, great job. I'm catching up with all the videos I haven't watched in the last three months. Pretty cool stuff, Carlos.
5 stars and faved by 21stCC! Thanks, Steve. That "Book of Pain" line might be the bit of dialogue I'm most proud of in all my years of video-making. ;-)
Jason and I have talked about making a full version of PH, but we've since lost contact with the stars of the piece, a couple of genuine characters themselves. Here's to hoping we do see them again, and maybe then we can bring back the Heat!
LOL, pretty good. Just campy enough to keep you wondering. Reminds me of some of the early SNL fake commercials. You'd be halfway through before you realized it was a farce.
well done. just like every cheesy 70's cop movie
