  • only Harley's with the occasional Indian

  • Brilliant!.. What´s the first motorcycle in the line? Is it JAWA 175?

  • That's a cool bike. Can I have it?

  • thanks. Different style of riding between an old machine and a new one.

  • Awesome!! But I love my 2008 sporty and 2009 Ultra classic. Never had a bit of trouble.

  • technically, you could have anything chromed as early as 1927. Factory optional chrome never included the fork springs however. Once I had a 1930's knuckle the original owner had made 5 gallon tanks for, with a gas gauge, and had chromed both tanks and fenders back in the 1930's! it even had a tube radio in a rear fender rack. But, the factory did not make them this way either:).

That reminds me of a Cushman I bought in 1960....had a set of Indian tanks complete with the tank shift !.....biggest piece s#@t I ever saw but it got me around 'till I got my first Harley '(55 KH)....ahhh! what memories there ! :-)

  • yes, starting in 1940, Harley offered 16 inch wheels. These were offered in Chrome or Black rims. The delux package ALWAYS came with chrome rims. additionally, one could order a standard model with either chrome (extra money) or black rims - Todd
