  • that was awesome man, keep playing!

  • What the fuck is that bass ??

  • @LougluGui I think its a Yamaha RBX 774....they are good bass guitars!

  • @lnquistor53 Dude I would 100% recommend getting one of these. They are great for the money and cover a massive range of tones. They are easy to carry around and pack a punch.....DI'd when playing live they sound HUGE! Get one and you wont be dissapointed.

  • Please give me a detailed run down on how to achieve this fat tone!!! AHHH IT SOUNDS SOOO GOOOD!

  • This song sounds very familiar

  • Gotta love 0:18-0:19

  • @OrcSlayer74 the vibrato on the note?

  • @lauraeeee The vibrato plus a couple of notes before. The whole video is pretty good, but this part is certainly the best, as far as my ears are concerned.

  • This reminded me of Faith No More's "We Care A Lot"

  • I see you also have a philips mini-hifi set with w00x technology...

  • @Tarydtaryd Best comment I have ever recieved! This really made me smile.

  • @lauraeeee +1. I noticed that too.

  • good tone

  • sorry i dont like the sound its way too metallic on the low e string

  • Greatjob! ***** I've been playing out with the LD750HD for 3 months and I love it. I really liked the bassline you came up with. I love Yamahas. I have a Trb II and a MA3000 :)

  • hey what are the settings on urr amp? i have the same one n havin trrouble finding "my" tone n want you to use yours as :suqare 1: so i can change it form there :D please and thank you

  • Hey dude, I will dig them out and send them to you in a PM a soon as I can.

    Chris

  • dude tell me please your settings i d really appreciate it!! whats your model? grind or something? :)

  • @PunkyGuy18 All it is mid scoop. Nothing special.

  • plz tell me your amp settings from this vid! PLEASE!!!

  • Done - see my other video!

    Chris

  • Hey, i just got the same amp, and i have Yamaha RBX374, so it feels like i should be able to get that amazing slap tone, or at least close...

If you could PM me your settings, I would greatly appreciate : ) ... awesome job BTW>

  • To get his tone you would need to get his exact amplification setup. For the most part though, to get a nice tone takes time. On bass, to start sounding good, I would say at least a year. On a nylon classical guitar.... at least 2.5 years.

Keep practicing, after a while you just notice your $300 bass sound like a million bucks.

  • That is an absolutely fantastic tone you've got there, nice playing too.

  • Thanks man! It means a lot!

    Chris

  • is this amp good for band practise and small gigs? I'm considering to buy one. can it go any loud?

  • Hey man, yeah I think it would be perfect. It can certianly cope with a drummer, see my other videos for proof of that. Also for gigs it has a PA line out feature. So if not quite loud enough on its own, it will be when put through a PA!

    Take care,

    Chris

  • thanks, mate. I've been doing some researching on forums and such, and this seems like a great amp, probably perfect for me. I guess I'm going to buy one.

  • Your welcome! I dont think you can go wrong. I've played through rigs that are a load more expensive than this and they dont sound as good, to me any way. For funk bass playing they are tops!

    Chris

  • ooh, cool. I just started practising slapping lol, but it's fun. :)

  • It's an RBX774. It's discontinued.

I wish I could find one.

  • nice bass than you had buy !! this is the same kind like john Myung but on a 4 string version ?

  • Yeah man I guess it is! I never thought of that and looking at the specs I guess it is similar to the Myung model, but with 2 less strings!

However, I dont think that John is too much into his funk bass playing!

    Chris

  • I got the bass from Ebay and when I got it out of the box it was covered in scratched and muck! The bridge pickup also didn't work! So I cleaned her up and did a spot of DIY on the electronics and shes all good now.

    Thanks for listening.

    Chris

  • How was it broken, it sounds great ?
