  • Europe is a failure at its most basic,it has a sub replacement birthrate.......The German government says this is irreversible, guaranteeing a Islamic future... It is what it is...

  • @TheChristianRight09: What do muslims have to do with German health care? Wrong thread, buddy.

  • @albedoshader swing by your local European nursery in any west European nation ,Muslims are the future in Europe..A un productive people, will make Europe collapse...

  • @TheChristianRight09: Your name is telling all we need. Nuff said.

  • I always hear "government", but it is Parliament that lays down the percentage of your income that goes into the fund. It is a legal system and so we need it being regulated by a formal law that has to pass the majority of the house before Government can lay down details.

  • we germans seem to have a good health care system, but also people demonstrate against the prices for health-care insurance that claimed much over the last years.

  • we (germany) have the best health care system i know and i m glad to be able to use it

  • @bmuralter wie lang noch...?!

  • @bmuralter :

Nope. Verglichen mit den USA ist unser System nicht schlecht, aber verglichen mit z.B. Frankreich sind wir miserabel.

  • just to give you an example of the difference of a private insurance: if youre insured privatly you qualify for having your own room in the hospital when being in treatment. otherwise you may have to share a room with someone. also normal insurences may not pay for treatments that seem unnecessary to them. e.g. removing of moles.

  • Yeah....Germany's system is totally foreign to Americans (hint of sarcasm). If we forced aetna, humana, Cigna, kaiser permanente, and united to go non-profit...we'd have the German system in place in America.

  • Fuuck, look at the size of that back yard. Damn, I wanna live on Germany!

  • Below USA is SLOVENIA hahahahahaha country which was bankrupt in 1990.

  • US fucking sucks. In the name of so-called freedom and free market, it has given us high crime rates, poor people with no dignity and sick people. Fuck

  • Despite the problems they mentioned near the end of the presentation that's still a heck of a lot better than in the U.S.

  • Here's proof that not all country's outside of America have a Single Payer Health Care system with just Public Health Insurance. America is not the only Industrialized Country with private Health Insurance and Health Care.

  • Their public insurance sounds like our private insurance here in the US.

Their insurance would be a win win for me.

US private insurance companies are a bunch of criminals

  • i was born in germany and am dual and wish they had the insurance here like in germany. i had a 30ft drop onto concrete on may 12 1990 and almost died mom only had to pay 20.00 for the ambulance and 20.00 for the helicopter everything else by insurance if i was in the usa at the time i would have died due to insurance not paying or not getting a prior approval.

  • Somebody still dont understand that private insurance is voluntary

( sorry my English is not so good) ! If you want to upgrade to private, you can do it anytime. Nobody is forced o do it,:_) ok!? If normal or privat insured, you always get the optimum health care, this for sure! ***** If you pay more for insurance, you of course get more/better treatment. Whats the problem? Its like buying food, you pay more, you get more/better food.

  • Go to USA and check what kind of Health Care system they have ...

IT is Devile, the LEgion created Health care system.

Only in USA THERE is no place on EARTH where USA system would take place.

IT is the rock Buttom. in HEALTH CARE .

  • @aviomaster Well, US healthcare is ranked 37th in the world last time I checked. But considering that Costa Rica has a better ranking, 37th aint shit.

  • In Belgium we don´t have private insurances. All people get the same treatment. and that is good in my opinion.

Germany is on a bad way with the two way system (state and private insurances).

  • i live in America, screw are health care system its setup to help out the rich the most and the really poor. everyone in between gets fucked. i had brain cancer i go to college and they take my state funded health care because i am going to secondary education and they say i their for no longer qualify for the state coverage. i hope we get something like Germany's health care, cause it sucks not knowing if you cancer is growing.

  • "I don't see why a small percentage of the population under private insurance gets privileged treatment and access to better health care than the rest of us."

Because individuals who are privately insured are PAYING FOR THE EXTRA COVERAGE. But yes, Germany seems to have their shit together with health care, (minus the whole aging population issue driving up costs). Though, I wonder if the projected decline in the German population will greatly affect medical costs in the near future?

  • the German healthcare system is very good but it is a insurance based system when I used to live there I think it was around 60 euros per month and if you ever went into hospital the wards were quiet and half empty unlike here in the U.K where you will be lucky to get a bed although the nhs is the biggest employer in Europe the service is crap if the U.S adopts a British type system healthcare will go down more managers than beds is what we have in the U.K

  • @britpatRIOT100 would you really want to have the same system in the UK as here? are you serious

  • 3:30 - the Germans show why they are ahead of Britian in every way.

  • I would love it if we as Americans would adopt the German system...it seems to be the most similar to our current system...without the profit motive.

  • It's possible, but should probably be done at the State level. It is my understanding that doing otherwise would be unconstitutional.

  • Haha, its so funny, that many americans believe, that they live in the best country of the world. They will be schocked, when they come to Europe.

  • @SoziLiberAL Been there, the majority Europeans are lower middle class...What I find ironic its not free, the EUROPEANS pay 40% to 60% income tax's.......

Successful Germans leave GERMAN ,so they can benefit from their income more than the government as well as the less successful German....

  • @ClarksonsinUSA Lived in the USA for a year, the majority of Americans are ignorant and arrogant. The majority of Europeans is NOT lower middle class. Plus, your middle class compares to our low middle class, except here people are more healty and definitely better educated.

If I (middle class) took all my money and moved to the USA i would be considererd filthy rich there. We might pay over 30% income tax, but we earn way more than you. Things are just much cheaper everywhere else

  • @sofinesse WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THOSE MUCH LOWER PRICES FOR EVERYTHING IN THE USA.........................We don't have VAT tax's.....;)

We make much more money and pay less for everything, which makes our standard of living soar compared to yours...

  • @ClarksonsinUSA My wife and I were shocked by the high prices for fresh fruit, veggies and life's necessities on a vacation in Oregon and Washington. Well, gas for our RV was cheap, but it guzzled away twice to three times the amount of fuel that a Diesel powered RV uses up here.

  • @sofinesse Great response! So many arrogant Americans continue to defend a broken excessively expensive health care system that, even today, fails to provide basic health care through insurance to over 40 million Americans. And many American insurance companies only pay part of the cost of a routine checkup, leaving the consumer with a bill for over $100 for less than fifteen minutes with a doctor. Also prescriptions.. many insurers don't cover drugs! Crazy!

  • @sofinesse I dont know where you are getting your numbers but I think they are a little off. My wife makes about 6eu an hour working in a market in Germany. She looked for a job for two months and could not find a single opening. A Paramedic in Germany will make about 1800eu netto per month ( Monster.de) and I bring 2100eu with no OT and I get paid just at the US national average. DE disposable income 20K Eu per year, US 30K Eu. So you had better recheck your numbers because I think your off.

  • @sofinesse Oh and one more point, the German government (and just about every other EU country) is just about on the verge of financial collapse. Dont give me any rhethoric either, I know all the little psycological games your media plays, just as well as I know ours. Health care will eventually bankrupt Germany and every western nation on earth. The old are living longer, getting sicker, and using more services in every western nation while the birth rate and tax revenue are steadly dropping.

  • @Messier83 :

You are right on one hand, but on the other hand America is much closer to financial collapse than Germany.

Of course there are also countries like Greece - we dont need to talk about them ...

  • @Messier83 and the US aren't bankrupt? Yopu are nearly as high in depts (in percentage) as Greece and you made it without governmental health care...

  • @SoziLiberAL Hell yeah I'm American and I've seen Michael Moore's documentry Sicko. Europeans live the high life compared to the US.

  • Why don't American TV "NEWS" networks report on health care in other nations honestly, as this report does? Just asking!

  • I don't know in my opinion the american system isn't bad but corrupt like shit ! I feel sorry for the americans who pay for insurances and get nothing or to less for it ! In Germany I know it is my right to get all I need against all diseases you can imagine because of my social payment of 19 % of my earning ! It's for Health care, elder care, and so on !

  • @awreslr2 because for those news agencies like fox and msnbc, the main theme nowadays is fighting their own civil television war.

  • @lleuwelynn You may be quite correct. I really find that BBC world news is about as good as I can find in the USA, and that is only available on cable service for some areas, not all. Canada, our nearest advanced industrialized western nation has a good, but not perfect, health care system, but no American news media goes there to do an in-depth report either. Americans need to learn but their news media is closed-minded and superficial, spending more time on a Prince's wedding plans!
