Why is a national team playing club teams????

@Barkon3 The US team are training for Olympic qualification. Bayer Leverkusen (and a lot of Bundesliga teams) are known for their great youth programs. Most of the Bayer players you see on the pitch playing the US team here will be German. Also, they will be young, around the same age as the U-23 team, as it is is BL II (the 'B' team/reserves).

Hopefully, the Olympic squad get some games (at least 4), before the qualifier. I would love to see Gatt, Mix, some krauts & other MLS players get a chance.
