3. Were African-Americans and other minorities protected from disenfranchisement?

Socialism is an economy set on taking money from those who make more and giving it to those who make less. America's economy is capitalist because we want all want the american dream. Is that dream to be on welfare? Listen to Warren Buffet tell you who supports taxes. It isn't the rich, it's you. His secretary pays more than he does! You want more of that?

Public school is not a good thing. It was developed so people could be mainstreamed into factory work. Charter schools are privatized schools and the kids actually graduate knowing how to read and write. And spell or at least know how to spell check. Little House on the Prairie kids knew 100% more than kids in general today. We are being taught to be ignorant. Why do you suppose the government wants you ignorant? BTW, ignorant means don't know, it doesn't mean stupid.

{And P.S., that's not true either.} Public schooling has been far from perfect, but 125 years ago, people were WAY more ignorant. And not to mention the kinds of propagandic horrors that could occur in charter schools should their administration fall into the wrong hands.
So yes, we are being taught to be ignorant, but certainly not in the way you want us to believe.

You have learned and spew exactly what they want you to know. No one knows socialism because you weren't taught about it in school. It is bad. It doesn't work. The people are oppressed while the government rules with an iron fist. Russia was socialist. Ask someone from a country where they actually get an education, like Canada, France or Britain. And then ask them how they like their health care. Ask someone in this country how they like medicaid. Not medicare but medicaid.

Not true at all...................I learned about Communism. I learned about the fabled 100-million person death toll. I learned about the McCarthy era{of course, nothing truly negative was said about him, which was a shame}...................etc.

no, u only go back 10 years ago when our taxes were much lower and we all paid for our own education. Our taxes would be much lower is our "socialized" school system went back to the way it was. Everyone who wanted an education would get one through financial aid if they could not pay it. The only people who would not get an education r the ones who drop out in todays society or r the ones who dont try at all in school.

We must abolish all socialist models in America, beginning with all law enforcement, fire departments, and public school systems.
We are forced to pay property taxes to pay for these services (even though only some people use them). Failure to pay this tax results in our house being taken away and sold...Tell me that's not socialist.
