reminds me of being 7 or 8 and all was well on a sunday night ...i,d had my bath and cuddled up on the setee . my dad singing along , im 41 now and close my eyes ....im back there................ thanks for posting
My dad is dying with mesothelioma, he loves Perry Como, as I do, it was my dad who told me Perry used to be in a barber shop quartet before he became famous, he will be up there now cutting God's hair!!!
such great memories - remember watching his TV show when with my parents when I was very young - driving home from Christmas shopping tonite I stopped we stopped in Canonsburg I stopped and took a picture of his statute
to My Sweet Lizzie - I agree wholeheartedly. Only I was born in the 50's but loved him when I was a child as well as Dean Martin. My two favorite Cool Guys. I miss them both very much. Dean reminds me of my dad and I miss him so much too. I feel as though I lost 3 dads. Can't wait to meet them again.
I first listened to Perry on the radio in the 50's.Then tv came along and have watched him my entire life. His music soared into my heart and has never left.I know of no other entertainer to this day that can match the extraordinary decent way he lived his life.Thank you for posting Perry's beautiful voice.
@originalpauper Just good-looking enough to make women vote him "the man who would make the best husband", but not so sexy that he threatened men. And his hair always looked like he just walked out of the barbershop. Perry and Floyd (the barber on The Andy Griffith Show) -- they did wonders for the image of barbers the world over. And Sweeney Todd, of course.
I sang this at my dads funeral............I miss you Dad, 16th November 2000, Mum 2nd December 1996, and my darling brother William 7th November 1981 aged 27...missed and loved forever RIP
My Dad loved Perry Como, it always makes me feel emotional when I hear him sing, but I've never seen Perry Como when he was young, and when I looked at the photo of him I was in shock, as it's just like looking at my Dad when he was young.
Makes me feel so old when everyone calls it their mum or dad's song. I find that very touching, especially for those who've lost their loved ones. But this used to be our song and i'm a grandma now! This was our song but we're divorced now.
My dad sang as good as the wonderful Perry Como, it was his and my mums favourite, was played at their funerals, i will never get fed-up hearing this magical song RIP
I grew up with this song. My mother and father loves this song. We used to have small radio station. This was always the start of my father radio show. I love this song. My dad and I both love this song. What a wonderful song with such sweet and sentimental voices. Oh God, I wish I could l still return to those old days.
I am an indian classical singer I am 73 years old now I havenever enjoyed anywhere more than when I listen this song . the first song . thank you thankyou perry where ever you are now
oh,, i love his voice ,,,, so smooooooth goes through you like and ventige scotch , listien to 226 when he say's for ever, oh,,, love it .god bless you.
Me and my wife(girl friend at the time) saw him in a concert in 1987. He was almost 75 and still sounded as he did 50 years prior to that. In real life, he was a very nice natured man. Never refused an autograph. Loved all people. A real family man. Married to his high school sweetheart, Roselle, till she died. Soon after her, he passed away too. May God Bless his soul.
the greatest singer of all times - the one i listen to for over 50 years - the one that helps me get by on bad days when i am down - the one and only perry como.
if you ever wondered what an angel sounds like, this is it.
Wind beneath my wings was written by Larry Henley and Jeff Silbar and For the Good Times was penned by Kris Kristofferson.. here both are sung beautifully by one of the best
this is such a nice song makes me feel good inside and even my grandmother likes it too brings back alot of memories for her and i just love seeing her light up with joy when she hears this :)
this is my Dads favourite song...my mum and him split when i was 4 years old..he left the single in the stereo cabinet and us bairns would take it out and play it at times..so he was always there in a sense..love it.
I absolutely adore this. Wonderful song, wonderful singer, beautiful sentiment. To my husband John, I love you so much, we have shared so many ups and downs throughout the 30 years we have spent together. Sometimes we lose sight of the things that really matter. Still strong after all these years and remembering the good times.....
i am preparing this as a gift for my grandpa.. please or maybe you could send one for me.. tnx.. and i do really this classical music cause it very soft and peaceful to hear
Does anyone have his song, Regrets??? I've been looking for this song online, and I can't find it anywhere, not even on iTunes. Actually, the one that I'm looking for is a cover of the song, but I don't remember who sings it.
a song for me that will never be forgotten, it has too many memories for me. tears, and laughter, pain and joy. but somethink i will never forget.......

We were happy, and we didn't know it.
Today's youth seems to think that happiness is found in drugs, with sex, and violence.
We used to think that happiness come with a beautiful girl in our arms, dancing to a good song, and we wouldn't dare to go beyond a kiss on the lips.
I wouldn't change it for the world.
And that is my opinion.
This man is one of a kind.
