very good info, i am one of those who got vit d from sun and sunbed in winter.supplements were very slow to increase vit d and made problems to my kidneys while sun is totally free of sides especially for my mediterranean tone skin

The type of Vitamin D you get from the sun is the type you need. If you need to take oral supplements, vitamin D3 is best. D2 will increase your vitamin D levels but it falls out quite rapidly compared to D3.

this is not an accurate report becuase it doesn't explain the types of vitamin D. Some vitamin D is bad and affects your immune system.
