One thing which is misleading in this documentary is that people pay too little for their food, under cost of production for smaller, traditional farms. This is what put so many of them out of business because only mega industrial farms have the economy of scale to still make a profit.

I still do not understand how gold is inherently valuable. Can someone explain it to me? I see it as a worthless metal. You can not eat it or use it for shelter... unless you have a LOT i guess... It is only as valuable as we agree it is socially. If no one wants to buy your gold or trade with you for it, then what value does it have. When things get really tight and we are scrambling for survival, who is going to sacrifice essentials for some shiny metal?

So besides the jewelry aspect I suppose you could say it's like a certificate that can't be produced at will. Gold has historic value, in fact most of everything including all electronic devices have some gold inside it. Its called a precious metal because it is rare, and gold can be used in many applications not just the exchange of goods.
TOMORROW 1099 forms will have to be filled by Gold and Silver companies when at least $600 worth of precious metals is purchased. One thing which is misleading in this documentary is that people pay too little for their food, under cost of production for smaller, traditional farms. This is what put so many of them out of business because only mega industrial farms have the economy of scale to still make a profit.

This doc sidesteps so many issues and uses peoples emotional responses to get them all riled up and afraid. I agree with a lot of the issues brought forth, but there needs to be a little more insight into each point and cut out the scare tactics a little. But the bottom line is that our government is no longer acting in our best interests(and has not been for a while) and we as a whole need to wake the F#@& up and see the reality of what is going on.
