Okay, here's the deal. Blizzard chose fifty people...JUST FIFTY...for the Diablo 3 beta. They chose some people due to popularity on YouTube. Oxhorn was one of the other receivers of the beta. He's supposed to be uploading some videos of D3 gameplay, as well. I know that because I'm a fan. Calm yourselves. None of us commoners get the beta. @Lolleranne I have been to all but one blizzcon and the truth is Blizzard loses money by having blizzcon. A few of their employees told me that they have to pay for tickets as well (obviously they don't wait in queue for the tickets they just buy them). It might not be as easy as asking a friend who works at blizzard if she does indeed know someone.

Gaming Youtubers have a 100 times bigger chances of getting BETA, even if you've been waiting for a long time. Because showing off video game footage and new stuff over Youtube from people that get a lot of views (Yogscast, Totalbiscuit), it works as a free commercial method for the company so giving those Youtubers BETA brings Blizzard more buyers = more money.

@EurynomusBH I got my beta inthe friends and family batch because I have a friend that works for Blizzard, but if you are selected for open beta you should get an email, you can also check on your battle net under account then games...D3 beta will be available to DL if you have been chosen to test it out :)
