  • wth ahahah

  • Lol so much fail!

When people start complementing me on my clothes I zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

  • wow so nice thanks now i can try to get a japanese girlfriend :D

  • Please make a part 2 for the 2nd textbook!!!! This was awesome. Thank you.

  • @chunkydude1215 Thank you for your comment! I would make part 2, but Im not in Japan anymore unfortunately. It just wouldn't be the same in another country :(

  • ZOOOOOOOmygosh....eigo noto....

  • Yes, it will be difficult to go back to school now and teach that book! I really don't like the chants and I can see in the kids faces they think they are lame.

  • so this is a bunch of japanese folk mocking it? odd they'd get the stupidity!

  • Great video. I was required to use Eigo Note to teach at five schools.. The times we effectively learned English were during more free lessons.

    Great first date

  • I love the "Head shoulders knees and toes" part!!!

  • This needs to be played at Tokyo Orientation! That way all the newbies know what to expect. ^_~

  • 4:22-4:28: DUDE, THAT'S A HIGH HEEL SHOE, NOT A PEN. XDDDDDD

  • when i watch up until the part "second book: how to break up" i don't know if this is instructional, funny or sarcastic anymore

  • that was the funniwst thing ever!

  • HAHA ... thats hillarious. But Im afraid most English text books are like that. I remember having had to spend hours on the issue of where the apple was ("Where is the apple?" "is the apple on the table?" "No, the apple isn´t on the table!" "Is the apple under the table?" "No, the apple isn´t under the table!" "Where is the apple?" and so on and so on and so on) Thing is: if you can´t find that damn apple, go and buy one! Just thinking of people actually using that English for real - (^_^) THX

  • This is AMAZING because I just had to teach my kids, "Please try my taco, Jeff." "Thanks, oh, it's yummy." in class. I seriously almost lost it. Meiling is pretty generous if she just lets her classmates eat her taco.

  • It's funny cause these are the actual tracks...that are so painful to listen too:( lol

  • I can't practice flirting with my neighbours, they're all old and some are related to me, gross!

  • this video is amazing! wow, I love that guy. If anyone can make "head, shoulders, knees, and toes" sexy, it's him!

...my teachers/students would probably wonder why I can no longer handle teaching the phrase "It's a pencil case" without cracking up

  • glad to hear people still like this!!

  • i cant stop watching this, its so awesome!!

  • i will never be teaching eigo note the same way again after watching this.

  • The guy in the blue shirt doing the "head, shoulders, knees and toes" was so sexy when doing that. I'll never be able to do that song anymore.

  • I dont know who you people are, but this was amazing.

    God bless you.

  • I'm currently teaching elementary schools in Japan too. I loved your video! Great job! But what's with the minute and a half of nothing at the end of the video?

By the way, for anyone interested in the original songs from Eigo Note, you can check them out here:

  • This video is nice :)

  • This is hysterical! I'm a SHS ALT and don't have the pleasure of using Eigo Noto, but this video still cracks me up!

  • DUDE! It's a good thing I'm not teaching anymore, because if we used that text... after watching this, I'd be giggling ALL through class!

  • That was freaking awesome.

  • This is the best video i have ever seen on youtube, however, i am seriously worried about how much il laugh in class when this audio is played from now on! Hopefully itll just come across genki! :) great job, please make eigo noto 2!

  • Oh man, you had me ROLLING the whole time~!!! This is A+ brilliance right here~!!! Just when I thought Eigo No-to would haunt my life forever, you put a hilarious spin on it. Eigo No-to will never be the same. Good work and see YOU. :P

  • haahah this is astounding

  • fantastic stuff! Loved the vid!

  • I used to teach "Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes" to all my grade schoolers 15 years ago! Thank god I'm not still teaching them or I'd want to strangle you because I'd never be able to do it with a straight face again!!!

    Great video!

  • @francol86 You're welcome! :-D Can't wait for your next movie! :-D

  • that is such amazing video !!!! It made me laugh so much >_<

  • Oh my God. As a former JET (who taught in Okayama, Okayama pride yeah!), I love this video. I'm linking it to my friends who are still there! Thank you for making it--makes me wish we could do this kind of video for our students...without being thrown out afterwards :D.

  • Thank you everyone for all the wonderful comments. I just read them all. Im pretty amazed so many people are watching my videos! how cool!! luv lena.

  • This is the most amazing thing...ever in the history of English education in Japan....I must...show ....my cooperating teachers....awesome.

  • Fantastic!!!!!!!! I am gonna piss myself laughing though on Monday in class

  • I'm glad I'm not the only person who thought that Italy was being enjoyed just a bit too much.

  • @darkwombat I always wondered what my kids were thinking when they heard that. My HRT just said, "wow! High tension desu ne!"

  • Haha! Very good! I hope there's more!

  • After a year of being an ALT for elem kids... this is fantastic! I want to show my HRTs

  • "What's this? A pencil case! " I´m sensing an unintentional nasty double entendre!

    very funny vid!

  • that guy rly had a green "cap" . not blue

anyway, thx for video. my students rly enjoyed it!!!

  • you mofos!!! i just finished the "green cap, green cap, do you have a green cap?" lesson. great. thanks for poisoning my mind forever.

(also you were totally reading someone's notebook when you did the intro and conclusion, weren't you?)

  • @mecchahappii Sure was! Actually, I was reading from poster board. I had no time to memorize it!

  • @mecchahappii Ahhh, that chant will forever be lodged in my brain! No, no, no I don't...I don't have a green cap!! AHH!

  • golden!

  • Hahaha, oh man... For some reason, after seeing this, I feel like I can never teach English again. Does anyone else feel the same way or is it just me?

  • Ahahaha love it. I hate having to use Eigo Noto so I generally just shun it for my own activities. Great to see someone using it for good!

  • So when is part 2 coming up??? :-)

  • @budgettroubleblog Im not in Japan anymore :( so its just not the same making fun of eigo note in America...probably wont be making a part 2 sorry

  • This I heartily approve of. Well played!

  • OMG That was hilarious! I just started teaching English last week using these two books, and we just did some of these lessons!!! Hahahahaha awesome

  • Ex.cel.lent.

  • Leeeeeeena- awesome job! This is so perfect! Congrats!

  • @kankistador is this Jamie!?? thanks!

  • This won a prize at a film festival in Fukuyama, Hiroshima-ken? That's my Japanese hometown. Great job.

  • I thought Lesson 4 was great, but then I completely lost it on Lesson 6. I'll never be able to teach my classes without thinking of this video now.

  • Oh my god, I died. I've already heard a few of those songs in my 5th/6th grade classes, and it was hard to keep from laughing to begin with...I don't know how I'm going to keep a straight face now that I've seen this. Priceless.

  • That is brilliant. Did you get JTEs to participate, too?

  • @albatalpa Yes, all the actors were Jets in Okayama except for the Japanese people in the video.

  • you know what it kinda remind me of that zuiikin English (take anything you want - spare me my life =))

  • LOL, i lost it at "its a pen", that guy is awesome

    eigo noto 2 PLEASE

  • hahaaahaaaaaaa great

  • What happens when you have ALTs with toooooooo much free time on their hands.

Still, after fuel for the wood burning stove, I think this is probably the best use of this fine MEXT resource that I've seen yet. Definitely not safe for children though.

  • haha this fkn great!

  • "it's a pencil case!"

    hahahahaha

  • hilarious :D

  • Like a literal lyrics music video!... I am looking at pencil cases now.

  • Wrong English, Americans!

  • This is chalk full of AWESOME! I wish I had a pencil case like that!

  • This is absolutely AMAZING! I'm starting the "I can~" lesson right now... how am I going to keep a straight face?

  • まさに傑作です。お見事。

  • omg

  • Oh man, this is priceless. Thanks for giving me some sort of solace during elementary school classes.

  • Just came back to see this again and to get the URL to send it to all the English teachers I know :-D

Best thing I have seen on youtube for a long time :-D

  • 上手なナンパ方法!BEST. VIDEO. EVER.

  • Brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!

    :-D

The only thing more inane than the dialogue in those CDs is the painful accents on the voices!!

    Well done!!

  • Sir, you are absolutely bold. (this is Chris from Okayama).

I hope you got some money for winning that award.

  • Pencil Case's FTW.

  • This is made of awesome. Do you think you could do Dansinglish next? A ha ha ha.

  • @snowdusk715 Sure will! Thanks for being a star in my video! Love you GG!

  • I had the fortunate timing of actually watching this in the staffroom, and after laughing my ass off PRETTY LOUDLY I soon had everybody crowded around my tiny laptop shouting "YABAI!!" and giggling with me! XD

    1:52 lol love it!!

  • HE CHEESE, OH THE CHEESE! xD

Kudos to the actors in this, they really make the video shine ♥

I'm speading this to other ALT's to share and enjoy the pain of being forced to use this in elementary schools.

And it definitely needs at least 1000 hits :D

  • That was AWESOME!

  • This video made my day. I was just teaching from Eigo Noto this morning... everything is better now.

  • Burn in Hell, Eigo Noto. Funny video though.

  • HAAAAAAAAAA! Best thing ever. Loved the blue shirt guy, he has the most amazing expressions. Definitely showing this at an enkai!

  • If I can stop crying from laughter enough, I'll be able to say that this was The Singular Most Amazing Thing I've Ever Seen In My Life. The only part I don't like is that I still have to teach from this book, and I won't be able to do it with a straight face for the rest of the year.

In other news, you live in Hiroshima prefecture! So do I! Is there a part 2 in the works, or would you be interested in a collaboration? XD

  • @shortnsuite3 HEy, thanks for the comment. Actually didnt live in hiroshima prefecture. I lived in Okayama, but Im actually not living in Japan anymore. So, unfortunately, there wont be a part 2 :(

  • As a current JET, this is quite possibly the funniest thing I've ever seen.

  • Brilliant!

As a recently returned JET, I am happy to saw that I haven't heard all of those tracks before! :)

  • brilliantly done! now to get all my shougakkou teachers to watch it too ^^

  • I'm not going to be able to teach these now without cracking up. Hilarious. What's this? What's this? It is a pencil case!

  • You rocked this. If this doesn't blow up huge, there is no justice.

  • I love this since I hate the book so much.

  • This is AWESOME!! After suffering with that book for so long, I feel like justice has been done. Nice work!

  • Ahh you finally put it up!

    It's absolutely brilliant, great job!

  • This is the funniest video ever!
