No, they really aren't good. Learning one thing here and there leaves a wide gap in the learning hole. I honestly am laughing imagining one of them attempting to knock out a black belt hapkido martial artist.

I train 2 martial arts, one of which is general MMA, the other martial art is japanese ju jitsu, it had a lot of holes in it, but you can take the useful 30-50% from each martial art and combine it into a totally effective MMA "art". For me, as an example, I train a lot of standing wrist locks and arm locks in my traditional jujitsu classes. I dont think they are effective, so..
..ignore that part of the "art" and focus more on the useful aspects, such as throwing and breakfalling.
If an MMA fighter were to fight a boxer, he would take him down and win. If he were fighting a grappler, he would keep it on the feet and knock him out. If he were fighting a hapkido "specialist" he'd probably just knock him out. Training in MMA allows you to be competent in all areas of fighting, so that when facing an "expert" you can beat them at their weaknesses.
It;s not that simple.. Their are several criteria, but don't forget, once you are a partner, you are almost ensured more views than the regular youtubers, no matter how shitty your video is..

No, they really aren't good. Learning one thing here and there leaves a wide gap in the learning hole. I honestly am laughing imagining one of them attempting to knock out a black belt hapkido martial artist.

I train 2 martial arts, one of which is general MMA, the other martial art is japanese ju jitsu, it had a lot of holes in it, but you can take the useful 30-50% from each martial art and combine it into a totally effective MMA "art". For me, as an example, I train a lot of standing wrist locks and arm locks in my traditional jujitsu classes. I dont think they are effective, so..

..ignore that part of the "art" and focus more on the useful aspects, such as throwing and breakfalling.
If an MMA fighter were to fight a boxer, he would take him down and win. If he were fighting a grappler, he would keep it on the feet and knock him out. If he were fighting a hapkido "specialist" he'd probably just knock him out. Training in MMA allows you to be competent in all areas of fighting, so that when facing an "expert" you can beat them at their weaknesses.

It;s not that simple.. Their are several criteria, but don't forget, once you are a partner, you are almost ensured more views than the regular youtubers, no matter how shitty your video is..
