@pualb2000 for those of us who have.. you don't have to be crazy to do so.. you can just have a time in your life where you are a little depressed.. its not as bad as the movies make it out to be.. anybody you look at could have been in a psych ward... even the person sitting next to you on the bus or plane.. they look normal.. and can even act normal.. life brings us to strange places sometimes.. and this movie just goes to show that.

ive been hospitalized 12 times since i was 14 (im 25 now) and the feeling i get from this movie is that its a little bit too sensative about life in asylums. you get to know people, when you leave sum people you forget never think about again, a few that you remember,, and once in a while sumone who stays with you. its not a big deal, and a chick like susan wold never have spent a full year there in reality. seems like a nice shout out to psych wards though
