as an engineer, i dont quite get the use of hydraulic cylinders that hold the upper top... couldnt you put only metal bars to hold it and leave hydraulic beneath? or i m just seeing wrong

@LogWiz Cardok is a totally seam welded container below ground, so no water will enter, any water that is taken in by a wet car is collected in a sump and pumped away automatically.

There is a perimeter gutter to collect any run off water and then a sump with a pump inside the Cardok itself. The whole Cardok is further protected by a de-humidifier and air circulation fans ensuring a perfect environment to store your car.

The roof hatch is positioned in a place that it would be awkward to park on it, it is also only required in the unlikely event of a mechanical failure.

Costs are comparative with building a garage, not as expensive as you might think.

The security isn't really compromised by somebody knowing the Cardok is there - they still have to get in!

The tire tracks through the gravel would be a dead give-away as to it's hiding spot. Though I suppose if you can afford a setup like this you can hire somebody to rake the gravel for you too.

Not really, someone would just think the car is out of the drive. They would assume the car has stopped just bfore the pond, and therefore parks there.
