DC-10 is a powerful plane, biman could have used it longer if they maintained them well like SAHA Air still operates Vintage Boeing 707 and is still in new condition.
Used to fly on Malaysian when they used to operate DC-10s. Not as big, impressive and good looking as 747s but I loved the automatic doors which used to slide up the top. Can't believe Biman still flies them. When are they going to stop, when they start falling out of the skies?

I've flown Thai, S'pore Air, Malaysia and honestly I didn't see a difference. Their interiors are quite uptodate and clean (maybe a little too cheery with the bright flowers :-)).

I miss them too, but honestly I felt a bit nervous flying in them back in the days when they had all those crashes and near accidents (late 70s-early 80s).

Once my favorite airline (ethnic roots :) I think it is in a terrible shape now - and needs a defabilator to resusciate. And these DC-10s are too loud, inefficient and risky polluters in today's standards.
