I think so, but they never were as sucessful over there as they were in the UK. I know she did a concert tour in the US and that she did several live preformances on the radio (only ever the song "Honey to the Bee").

She was rather famous for a while...in the ninteys...but I was in America at the time, and I don't think her music was ever avalible over there. I had her first CD and that was it, but I fell back on her music when I got into Doctor Who.
