Underground hip hop is where the spirit is alive in America...This is coming from an Australian (me) who was fortunate enough to stumble upon CYNE which then led to a whole bunch of underground artists that don't even talk a lot about "the hood" but speak more down to earth and about philosophy and reaching the inner spirit. These are not their lyrics however, It is sampled from the 1994 song "Keep it Komin" by the Hip-Hop duo 'Organized Konfusion'.
They were far better lyricists that Hilltop Hoods I'm afraid, so the best part of this song is a sample.

@daroodee I read an interview with 50 cent where he said he hates most of his own songs but the record company pretty much says "do or don't get paid". Doesn't justify it but makes it a little more understandable.

@daroodee Not all American rap is like. Just because you've only listen to mainstream crap rap doesn't automatically make all American hiphop crap. There's plenty of excellent hiphop from the US. But I do agree the mainstream music in the US is awful.

Underground hip hop is where the spirit is alive in America...This is coming from an Australian (me) who was fortunate enough to stumble upon CYNE which then led to a whole bunch of underground artists that don't even talk a lot about "the hood" but speak more down to earth and about philosophy and reaching the inner spirit. Check out CYNE.

The reason why I like Hilltops so much is 'cuz their rap has a sense. Its not like "Goin to the club, gonna fuck every whore I look at.. PUT YOUR HANDS UP!!" I believe American rap CANNOT possibly stand against this kind of music. Hilltop Hoods and Stress are the best ones
