@coochiemama511 yeah its straight axle..did a few other things and got it up to 76mph one day..then decided to throw on a clutch kit, lift kit, and 28" outlaws on it..now it tops out around 50mph but man will it sling those 28's!!
dude just to let you know i dont think that was top speed on your quad. I have a 06' Suzuki Vinson 500 completely stock and i had it topped out at about 70mph
My brothers '07 was hitting 68mph regularly , then we installed a k&n and a moose module, it would pull 69.. but to gain bottom end we installed a black secondary spring from epi and a light green primary spring which brought top speed down to 60-61mph..... but wow, does it ever pull hard down low.....
I love doing simple mods like this, and these bikes respond well to any mods you install
i now u could do better then that because i have a 2004 suzuki vinson 5 speed manuel and did 64 mph with it so ya good vid love de sound of the v twin motor
'00 big bear k and n filter jetted carb big gun exhaust bored .30 over took it out today hit 32 toped out i guess cvts really make the difference you can only go so far on gears witch i have
wow!!! Thats fast. Im thinkin bout buying the same SRA model. I would install a Dynojet kit, HMF, k&n, and Dynatek cdi. Those few items should bring me up to around 70+ right?
i have done everything you mentioned and plus Iridium plugs and got mine to hit 74...just my opinion man the brute is an awesome bike...tons of torque and accelerates like no other...some people complain bout ground clearance on the SRA model..but i just added 28" outlaws and have no problem clawing out of the mud!!! you cant go wrong with this one
wow 74! thats impressive. Im not worried about the ground clearance issue. I dont mud. All's i want is speed, decent handling, power, and sound. The brute sounds the best fit for me. I really like the kfx700 thou
wow kid...i know your only 14, so i will be nice...i am going to leave this stupid comment up just other people can reply to it! oh by the way nice kittens on your page!!! LOL
I have a 02 650 with hmf pipe and moose chip and k&n. The most i have seen is 50 on the speedo. I can beat a 680 rincon no problem on bottom to just near top speed. Whats the deal is my speedo slow?
i would say your speedo has malfunctioned....that 650 has to do more than 50 unless you are running crazy large tires and even then 50 would be easily reached..i would line someone up next to with a speedo and see exactly what my machine is doing..i will have to get another video up but i just did some upgrades--CLEAN k&n, Dynatek CDI, HMF Pipe, and re-jet--i hit 74 the other day
hey there is a little gray button on the left hand side it says over ride hold that in and it will over ride the govener it also helps when u wanna back up fast
it was stock when i made this video...just did some upgrades--k&n, Dynatek CDI, HMF Pipe, and re-jet....got my beast up to 74 just the other day....when you unlock the power in that v-twin its amazing what the machine will do...i truly enjoy riding mine and sure you will to
LOL..right..well first i have to correct you on one thing--its fourtrax not fortrax...also i ride with hondas so i believe i know for a fact that your "fortrax" is not even close to being as fast as a brute, even my 650..know the facts before you leave an ignorant comment.. one more thing "225 baton rouge" if you know it can faster show me a video..good luck finding one because there isnt one
Not to bash Honda cause I like them too, I happen to have one for the wife to ride. Solid bike but honestly, are you actually comparing a Honda Fourtrax to a Brute???? I am sorry to say your wayyyyyy off on assuming that the Honda can even come close on speed or power to even the 650SRA.
I have the same bike but my speedo will max out at about 98 km/hr (Canada here sorry). Although I don't think it's accurate because I went to 27" tires.
I also have the dynatek chip, HMF exhaust, and the K and N air filter.
Check out my channel to see my beast in action. I have posted alot of video of our rides there.
Sounds about right! Pretty awesome if you ask me. Speedo will say it's going slower than it is due to over sizing tires (naturally) but a heavier tire might slow ya down a bit. It's all about advantages and disadvantages. There are certainly riding conditions where a heavier tire comes in handy and vice versus. Good to see so many Brute fans out there like me!!! Ride hard fellas!!
3.2 seconds?? i seriously doubt that..not taking anything away from the renegade, a friend has the 800R EFI X, and that thing is silly fast but not even close to 3.2 seconds to 60!! a modified one maybe and on asphalt, but not on a dirt road and stock...nice try...show me a video of a stock gade hitting 60 in 3.2....cause i havent found one
the renegade 800 is nice... the outlander max 800 had only 18% les power and 328% less speed than the brute and the gade are close but like 8 seconds to 60 on the gade and like 8.5 on the 750 brute
Hey JMZ, any mods on this 650? Or is it stock? Thanks.

Is this the straight axle? If so I have the same exact quad and I had it topped out at 65, but that was before I put the pipe and jet kit on it
coochiemama511 11 months ago
@coochiemama511 yeah its straight axle..did a few other things and got it up to 76mph one day..then decided to throw on a clutch kit, lift kit, and 28" outlaws on it..now it tops out around 50mph but man will it sling those 28's!!
