  • This kind of song has very much fun doing good things. They had those days so much good material that this kind of gem was dropped out for unknown reasons never finished really I mean.

  • I wonder what kind of a phenomen The Move had been if the ELO had never existed. ELO was very good but IMO for example Message from the Country by the Move was better than the debut album by ELO.

  • That's a keeper!!!

  • WHAT!!!! HOW DO I GET THIS???????

  • loistavaa musikia

  • WOW!...just WOW!

  • no la habia escuchado nunca !! pero para ser del año 1971 cuando sacarón "message from the country" suena mas a los move del(1968/69)

  • Really Have almost everything legally issued but never heard this before. I places it kinda sounds like the Small Faces on "Ogden's Nut Gone Flake" (1968)

  • @njnorth1 This song has material for a six- minute song. I think it would have been like that if this had really finished !

  • Haven't heard this one before. Always glad to hear something from the Move

  • Not heard this before thank you for posting this gem.

  • Uber Cool!! always great to hear something ''New'' from Mr Lynne

  • Wowsers! Just when you think you've heard it all, another gem is discovered. Long time Move fan, and really dig this post!

  • A fantastic Move, now and forever. Let It Run!

  • I think this track was an Idle Race influenced Move track.

An Idle Race melody mixed with heavier Move sound those days.

Sad this track was never really finished.

  • Yeah that sound is definitely there

  • this track should of been a single

  • is this track on cd??????????????

  • I don´t think so. In my opinion if this track would have been finished it would have been a six- minute brilliant Move track.

  • Its on a boot cd from the US, called "Roy Wood BBC & Beyond" (Hyacinth 103), which also includes rarities such as "Electric Age' and "If This Love Is Magic".

  • Very trippy and so cool.

I thought some songs from Idle Race had that psychedelic sound going for them, but The Move takes the cake!

I like the progression Jeff & Roy did from The Move into ELO.

Thanks for sharing this to newcomers like me.

    =D

  • How did you get hold of this song? It's not on the two cd's that were relealised. The song is rather good. Love Lynnette

  • Nice chords.

  • One of the best things to come out anywhere!!!

  • Jeff Lynne was a horn of plenty in his younger years. Not to underrate his later works. But he simply couldn´t write a bad song 1967- 1973. For example this song Falling Forever would have been a real gem as a seven- minute pop- masterpiece if it had finished to be realised.

  • That's funny because Jeff's dad was always asking him when he was going to write a good song. That song was "Can't Get it Out Of My Head." Jeff himself even stated he started to write "better" songs on a "New World Record." Thanks for sharing. Norman

  • . Though Jeff said he liked better the large orchestra sound in Eldorado, It wasn´t only his decision. By On the Third Day ELO became popular in USA and the management suggested more popular sound. That was Eldorado about. But the greatest personality of ELO music was gone when they were hiding its those massive arrangements and not anymore their own violins and celloes. At least there sould have been more space to them. That´s my opinion.

  • They call a horn of plenty a cornucopia the announcer is a dj from the bbc who interview the searchers on their bbc sessions cd .

  • I think this track would have been really superb as an six- minute version.

  • Muchas gracias Jorge como siempre.

  • No conocía este tema, gracias por colgarlo! Saludos from Spain

  • Jeff Lynne and Roy Wood were really a good team ! Second only to Lennon and McCartney.

  • This definatly has the beatle influence, brill, never heard it before thanks

  • The Fantastic Move is right....great unreleased track~amazing.

  • Well I thought I had it all but I've never even heard this before! Any background info? Is it on a compilation album?

  • This was recorded for a BBC session in the early 70s. It hasn't been officially released yet (at the moment you can only find this on bootlegs) but it could see release in the near future.

  • Thanks for that. Why do you think it might be released i the near future? Do you have some inside info!? Would love it to happen.

  • I read on the Face The Music website that there are plans to release an expanded BBC Sessions 2CD.

  • Bev's drumming is awesome.This is superb!

  • Check out the Move's "Piece of My Heart" for drumming then get back to me!

  • Wow - sounds more like an unreleased Idle Race record than a Move recording - perhaps why this was never released.

  • I think this song is superb.

If it has been finished I think it would have been a superb six- minute track.

  • Wow! This is wonderful! Although to these ears it sounds more like the BeeGees than the Beatles . . .

  • Probably as close as Lynne's ever come to a Beatles' clone in a career full of near-Beatles' clones!

  • Maybe. But this is a great show. In my opinion Jeff Lynne was one of the greatest artists influenced by the Beatles.

I like this song. If you don´t it´s your matter.

  • Yes Jeff Lynne has been influenced by the Beatles from the beginning.

Since his Idle Race days late 1960´s.

But this song is a very typical Lynne track.

There is something happening all the time.

  • I love it. :)

  • awesome rare track

  • Amazing! Great to see someone has this rare recording.

  • A brilliant hidden gem by the Move !

Wonder why this song never appeared in their records.
