  • Nice!!!

If i ever going to purchase another Kawasaki, it is going to be a 83 ELR!!!

At the moment i am in the proces of finishing my GPZ1000 RX Superbike conversion, along with ZZR 1100 type D wheels..

The adapters, to make the Tokico calipers fit on the AVDS fork, are being made as we speak...

  • Sounds like Heaven. Keep the project go'n.

  • Nice bike buddy, congrats on the time taken to restore her. I'm planning on buying a 2001 1200R soon. Besides that I love Classics, I have a 1952 Triumph Single 125cc called the Terrier. Had a 26' Chevy with my dad.

  • im jealous...allways wanted an ELR.How rare are these? I've seen one in person in kansas city.I see alot of the new ones,i was gonna get one...the 1100 or 1200.I love the old KZ look.(i own a 78'KZ650).

  • Sweet bike dude! These Kwaks are just proper looking bikes. I wouldn't even mind it without the little fairing, and just a big ol round headlamp.

Thanks for sharin. 5/5 and fave.

  • Wow, nice bike that U got there mate.Regards,Jaak.

  • I've got one tucked away in my garage that's in pretty sweet shape...spending a lot of time riding my Vic hammer but this gives me the urge to finish up some work on the Kwak... thanks for the hook...

  • Can't really tell, but you might want to check your shims on the valves.....sounds a little too loose.

But other than that, I'm envious!!!!!

  • my dad had a kz 1000, quick bikes

  • Looking good, guy! Starting on my '81 GPZ 1100 soon, but she'll be wearing the ELR paint bodywork, and stripes! And yes, that engine sounds sweet! Old Kaws never die!

  • oh yeah, runs nice alright.

yes people, dont spend on paint etc without first getting the carbs in good order.

  • I sold mine easy...did head work myself, which was worth it..as well as all the restoration. If the cost of the bike was cheap...go for it. My next bike is a 79 FLH...got the 93"motor almost done...and its in primer at my shop. Hope to look like a retro pan

  • The sound of the engine is allright. Is the cost of restoration skyrocket?Give it a try hehe

  • I like that. Very NICE!
