This track's one of many released by Timi on Mercury Records. They didn't lush it up with heavy orchestrations like Liberty Records. These tracks are bluesier & well produced. Timi's always great, but the material on Mercury was far better suited to her than some of her earlier songs. I think she had more creative input. But, they didn't sell. Timi deserved better material & production. Her voice definitely was up to the task. Ask Willie Nelson.
What a great singer and song! I only know of Timi Yuro, because I had an older sister that always played her records. Her songs take be back when I was a kid. Thank you.
What a good song! It's not a recording I remember hearing on the radio back in The Day, and I think if I had I'd have spent some of my allowance money on this one, 'cause I like the way Timi sang it. Ah, the missed opportunities of youth...
Woah! Just wonderful. Thanks for that. Something interesting happens at 02.00, just after her slinky laugh. She breaks stride and seems to stumble over her words, which makes it feel more 'live'. Maybe it was edited badly, or, then again, maybe you've got a scratched copy of the single. Whatever.
I never understood why she's not much better known in the US. To me she has one of the most terrific and unique voices of all time.

Timi at her best. This should have gone on a bit longer as she really lets go towards the fade out. What a terrific lady.

This is just so good. Powerful and sultry at the same time.
To JerryX68: The 'it..it' at 2:00 is also on my CD-perfect version, and it doesn't sound like a mistake.
