  • i thought the engine was sohc

  • Whatever people say about these cars (performance, build quality, braking..) you still have to rise your hat to Dodge-Chrysler for bringing on the concept to the road... because until today the Prowler still one of the most extreme designed car ...ever!

  • @prancinghorse25 This is true...this car turned a TON of heads when I was driving it.

  • Those cars are raciest they were clearly only made for us white people because you can't fit 26 inch rims on them

  • @daytonpaul lolwut?

  • This "hot rod" doesn't have very good performance. Handling is not great. It's braking ability sucks. It's acceleration is ok.

  • ....and that's why this car never caught on and will most likely never carry any serious collector value!

That being said, if you're not a true car person and just want to get noticed but don't care about performance (and can put up with 1990s Chrysler build quality), then this is the car for you!

  • for prowler experts out there, how much it will cost me if i want to buy a prowler by mid 2011 ??? are they expensive ? can i trust the prices i see on ebay ?

  • american car vorget ebout

  • would've been nice if you could've shown the CD changer and not just talk about it

  • im loving that transmition, thats a great idea

  • Then you'll be pleasantly surprised to know that the AutoStick was available in many other models, including the Dodge Intrepid! That's right, you don't need to buy a Prowler to get an AutoStick, just $1000 will buy you a nice used late 90s 4 door Dodge with the same feature.

  • wow, the intrepid. thats interesting, maybe ill take the tranny from that and find a way to bolt it to a engine with power!

  • I must admit, it was very impressive when it debuted, and was one of the first transmissions of its type that was available in a non-luxury or sports car. It has been done before though, and is very similar to the dualgate Hurst found in some 60s and 70s musclecars....

  • love the look...love the design, does anybody know its top speed? with 4 gears...i would assume 120?

  • I believe it was near 140mph.

  • 140mph? even if thats the max speed on the dash? i know in some cars even though the dash reads 160 the governor would limit it to 130-145. If this car can get to the full 140, then i'd be a happy guy!

  • I THINK that it is 140 I am not 100% certain but I think it will get up to that fast. It will do 120 for SURE!

  • id be happy with that! then again...who would want to go really fast in a car like this? id cruise in this car all day long...

  • this car has 252 hp and is very fun to drive, i would love to drive one with a six speed standard tranny but they never made one,it has a 4 speed auto stick which is cool.

  • Where can you BUY one of these now a days?!

  • eBay.

  • It is a very nice car, but when i first looked under the hood of one of these, i was very, very dissappointed. Why not a V8?!?!

  • same reason that it was never available with a maunal gearbox which which would allow for a proper sports car feel so you could really abuse what power it has under that bonnet
