  • nice to know our canadian citizens vote for criminals

    that hate the poor

  • I am a wild rose and I voted for Steven Harper.

  • What can I say, having a criminal advising our PM on how to run our country, using gestapo methods in tossing out people that he doesn't like at his meetings, liying to Parliment, that's why we're having this election, and ya want to know something folks he'll be elected again, Canada wake up and smell the dirty laundry, hopefully our youth will get us out of this mess. If this was in the USA. he would have been impeached just for having a criminal on his advisory board.

  • i would like to be the first or at least definitely not the last, we are fuckedddd. americans are never gonna let us live this one down. as if it wasn't hard enough for us to come second in the world junior hockey league. damn it

  • I am from the states and a bit of a political nerd. I feel that watching other countries elections is a good way to learn about how other countries elect their leaders (UK General Election 2010).

I hear that tomorrow is going to be the French language debate. How much different is it going to be from the English debate?

  • @mjwatts1983

The French language debate is in French, the English debate in English. The purpose being that since canada is officially bilingual, the leaders debate in each language. The leaders may try and focus a little more about what they are doing for Quebec since most of the people watching will be from there. The funny thing is, in each debate they have dubbed versions in the other language anyway.

  • namely securing trade with our neighbour to the south. Prime Minister Harper could successfully argue that every choice he makes, whether in respect to military participation, trade, or other foreign affairs issues, will contribute to economic growth in Canada. But that doesn't make it right. We should not succumb to bully-like tactics by the United States, and stand up for what is morally right, not merely what will gain us capital.

  • Participation of Stephen Harper in secret talks to deregulate food and other industries to make it easier for companies to access Canadian markets. As well as speculation now over water trade. I just don't see the transparency that Canadians deserve and are accustomed to in this present government. As well, the reputation of Canada as a peace keeper and not of a opportunistic warmonger is being threatened, as we continually piggyback on the war efforts of the United States for the wrong reasons,

  • @fatoni698 I agree that the Canadian public should have all information regarding coalitions before the election in order to make a fully informed decision. On that note, I suspect that many Canadians remain ill-informed regarding the unstated agenda of the Conservatives. Any party that consistently and actively hides or omits vital information is not in the best interest of Canada. I am of course referring to budget information that was withheld, as well as the

  • Fact is no one expects a 35% minority government to be able to outmaneuver a 65% opposition.

Martin, Graham , Dion, and Ignatieff have failed to resurrect the LPC. Rae wants his shot....I like him...Rae is funny...check out rick mercer and ignatieff...he steals the show.

  • @00Billy Ken Dryden for Liberal Leader

  • he is not a leader, of a free nation. he is a comunist head of state. he doesnt feel he needs to justify actions and when questioned he turns away like a child.

A Canadian P.M. is the voice and of the people. he MUST speak and listen to us. it is his JOB!

  • ..about answering to the Canadian people, refusing any and all questions from members of our press, thereby limiting our access to information that we have the right to know!

  • I don't know why everyone is making such a hubbub about the possibility of a liberal-ndp coalition. Are we forgetting that the conservatives conglomerated with the new reform party of which Stephen Harper was a member? That's why we have this extreme conservative government today. Hopefully the election is not a forced tactic by the conservatives to gain a majority in the house. Otherwise they won't have to answer for much, and as we have already seen, The prime minister is contemptuous about a

  • @madk777 The reason people are angry about it, which you forget to mention, is that the bloc also needs to be included for them to take power. Also, if they want to form a coalition it should be expressed before the election so voters can make a fully informed descision. The difference between this coalition and the one found in Britain is that the one in Britain includes the WINNER of the election while this one would be comprised solely of the losers. You asked, so I answered.
